Tamaki has struggled writing Tec very eary on. Her ideas fall flat and she has a lot of trouble voicing make characters but particularly Batman. I think it's time to let Rosenberg go solo on this book.

The B story was far better than the main story.

It was @RedKryptoSuperman, at least for me. Rosenberg made a complex character, he managed to keep my interest throughout his narrative.

When Ridley has an action centered issue and it's still dull the book has problems. Usually when artist can6 stay on a title very early in the run it's a sign the publisher is not confident in the book. M6 guess is DC will see how the sales run when will7amsin takes over with 118 and gauge Tim Focs fate from there. Ridley was supposed to be the na7n batman writer before 5G went belly up.

Honestly I think lately I'm liking Segovia as much as Coipel. His work on Hellions is great. It's not the art that's the problem that's for sure. You keep hyping Williamson's run and you're making me buy into it, even though logically I'm very skeptical of it. :)) I think Josh has so much on his hand and it's a monthly book so we'll get very little of Batman. Meanwhile Jace will be shoehorned into every possible Gotham book to make us sure we get the message he's the new Batman.

I hope you're right but I'm not seeing DC giving up on the new Batman so soon. They've been trying to search for a black audience lately, they've hired a lot of black writers, they've restarted the Milestone line, books like Black Manta are basically also Milestone, they're forcing Jackson Hyde into the Aquaman role.

I think they already have a black audience. Batman has huge crossover success already because the character works for everyone. Dont get me wrong Williamson has said hes going to honor Tynions run but he also sounds like he's ready to have some fun the character (and robin apparently) instead of sidelining him in his own book as Tynion did or give us the lightweight artsy scribblings of King.

If Williamson does actually give us batman in a batman book without the BS I'm on board. U have zero interest in Ridleys activist shit or tim foxs war on privilege and so far sales are saying most batman readers agree with me in one form or another.

Theres just nothing compelling about the mission Ridley gave Tim Fox and stealing the name and the fear hasn't worked either. I agree DC will do one big push to shoehorn Fox into the main character if batman but so far no ones invested in it to a great degree.

I ll bet you a beer Williamson's book will consistently out sell anything with Tim Fox as batman. That's why Ridkey hadn't got the main book or Tec.

And don't forget the movie next year is going to sell itself. The kids will want Bruce Wayne to read about just like tget saw in the movie. Flash as well is heavy on Batman content.

You know what I mean when I talk about a black audience. Of course Batman is for everyone and the number of black people who love Batman is huge. But according to the new progressive thinking people can't identify to a character unless they share a key trait with them, as in race or sexuality. Look at Marvel is doing to Danny Rand. He can't be Iron Fist anymore because apparently white people can't be good at martial arts.

On the same thinking, black people need a black Batman otherwise they can't fully identify with him. Of course it's insane and of course it's racist but it's the new dominant ideology until people get their heads from their butts and realize that this isn't actually helping anyone, not even the categories of people they claim to want to help, it just breaks the social cohesion of our society more and more until we can find that nothing actually unites us anymore.

I get what you mean but from what I'm seeing the wokesters are not showing up to lift this title. Ridley is doing his best to stealthily push classism and race because that's his bread and butter. But the readers arent showing up beyond an issue or two. That's why he diesnt have the main books- at least as it stands.

I just read that Williamson kicks off with a rogues gang war in Gotham and a new villian in the works along with a batman inc dynamic which I assume is the part the gets him out if Gotham.

If Tynions effort in the joker book is the indicator Gotham will see generic variations of established villains there. I'm guessing because battling successful people in Gotham isn't quite grabbing an audience for Tim Fox. I'm guessing of course but if it continues that line then it seems that's the plan.

Just thought you should know it. Regarding Williamson's Batman, yeah, I saw that preview. Didn't particularly like the art. I just have such a hard time caring about Batman outside of Gotham, completely isolated by all of his allies. I hope I'm wrong and I am optimistic about it, you can't get much worse than Tynion or Ridley. But I am very, very cautious about it.

I'm with you. Removing him from Gotham is not smart and clearly isn't story driven but after King and Tynion I ll take globe trotter batman over the crapfest they gave us. I think the movie will put pressure on DC publishing too.

Yes, I guess you were right. But you have to admit, they were pretty close to going all the way with it. I guess the sales were just abysmal and the movie was also a big reason why they stopped with their insane plan. All the same, I have two questions: why is Bruce thrown out of Gotham still and why is Jace still Batman, even in NY?

Like, what's the reason to keep having him as Batman? I think it's actually detrimental to the character's success. A lot of people don't like him because he has appropriated the mantle. I think having him drop the Batman persona and try to find a new role for himself would really help the character. And Bruce needs to get back to Gotham.

I think DC blinked. I think it's safe to say Ridley was supposed to have the main book and sales didnt let it happen. I think now they're looking trying a Miles Morales situation where two Batmen exist at the same time but for now in separate spheres of influence. Also when Batman started it was New York and later called Gotham.

And yes Bruce needs to be in Gotham. The city is as much a character as he is.

And quite honestly the movie next year is a huge marketing and sales advantage. Funny books these days seem to have a synergy with the feature films. Erasing Bruce from the main book would be a sales disaster.

I love knightly adventures, I think my expectations were higher. Obviously not the ring of the Nibeluntos or the Mio Cid, but it can still have potential. And I agree that a writer is not indicative that a book or comic will be good or bad. So far I find out that Taylor is in charge. I think these kinds of comics suit him much better.

However, I think we are in front of a some (not all) fans terrified of being judged (that's why they judge) and they get angry because that's what they read between the lines when someone says that I don't like it or that I do like it and they don't. We're facing weak and sensitive generations (and I've every right to say it, I'm a millennial, the susceptible, intolerant generation of 720 sexes) witch think if they throw a gigantic tantrum they'll change the world.

They are indeed weak and sensitive. That's something I can accept, though. What I can't accept is that even though they're weak they try to impose to others what they should like, say or see. That's something I can't accept. And I don't particularly care about their screeching tantrums. I know they all have this absurd notion that only they know what's best for this world, that's super ridiculous. Problem is, they're getting too much attention because they're very vocal. We need to change that.

The story is ok so far. I'm very skeptical about it because I have a lot of experience with Taylor but for a first issue I liked it.

My friend @Merlyn that is their weakness, they are so enraged with the world that they vomit out of their mouths as is diversity and inclusion are not well seen when it does not go according to their poor mentality. That is the worst weakness, they are easily indoctrinated, they live in an unreal world.

I'll give this a chace, and if it fails I'll just put it aside, but I think Taylor can do well here. It's what he's preaching, right? ecology, regress in all aspects technologically, culturally and evolutionarily. But Taylor hates tradition and we got a hint of that when Clark screamed at Bruce that traditions are "backwards and idiotic". Anyway, I'll give it a chance, too. I'm curious who the Green Man is. Logically, it should be Hal, it would make sense for him and Arrow to team up since they're best buddies in the DCU too. But I don't know if Taylor can muster the guts to not place somebody else in his place and the fact they didn't show him makes me doubt it's Hal. DC hates him anyway these days.

I don't have a problem that they put great value in diversity and inclusion. I have a problem with the fact that they can't accept that not of all us view the world through those lenses. Diversity and inclusion are good and all but when they replace merit and talent and when you "include" people that actually want to exclude others and subvert society I'm going to take a step back and say "yeah, this won't work for me".

Yeah, diversity of thought really is too much for the diversity crowd, they need to control thought or at least speech so that's a no-no for them. I'm not a huge fan of the Red Ronin thing. I think I'm just too attached to the Red Hood version, I don't know. I love a lot of Japanese stuff but I'm not sure Jason would mix up that well in that setup. I know Dexter Soy drew all this Ronin stuff and I would probably like to see a one-shot with this concept at least for his sake.
