An apology I really thought it was the publisher, but no, it's the writer. Even though he's not doing the horrors that he usually does in DC, his writing is bad. Diablos has excellent characters that he does not know how to exploit. Frustrating is this man.

Meh, the pacing is pretty off and the fact that Marvel planned this book a looong time ago and released it just now makes me think this won't be anything groundbreaking. So far it's true. But it was a decent, classic by now, apocalyptic Tom Taylor story. Coello is the big sell here for me.

Yeah, this was one big missed opportunity from Marvel. Turns out all Duggan's been building towards will be explained away with some shenanigan and Captain Krakoa is... Cyclops. Yeah, the twist you can see coming from a mile away unfortunately, even though the dialogue tries to conceal it in a pretty bad way. Duggan's creativity is, as always, pretty low, and this X-Men series is turning out to be more

I've never been Tom Taylor's biggest fan. I've often felt his writing for characters never goes past surface level pop culture stereotypes in some cases (Superman) or just actively bad (Wonder Woman) and unlike most else, I only thought the first issue of this series was decent aside from the shocking twist at the end (which if you're familiar with Taylor's work, you should expect).
