There's a new commissioner in town, and it's none other than Maggie Sawyer! But one clean commissioner does not make a whole bad basket of Blüdhaven police officers good, and now Blockbuster is forced to lean more on Nightwing's sister, Mayor Zucco, to oversee the old commissioner's illegal dealings... Then, an attack on Haven reveals some shocking truths to Nightwing and Oracle that make it difficult to recover from.
Nightwing #94 does no wrong, pulls no punches, and knows how to escalate a plot. Nothing fancy happens here. The storytelling is simply laid out straightforward with no fuss, nothing confusing. One event leads to another, as it should. Read Full Review
Nightwing #94 has a couple surprises and provides some satisfaction for villains getting their due. Geraldo Borges' guest art this issue is a good fit, giving the entire affair a slightly more gritty, slightly more realist vibe than Redondo's brighter art. Read Full Review
Nightwing's world takes a sudden turn when Blockbuster makes his presence felt and begins to strike back against the hero and his allies, with possibly dire consequences for at least one of them. This series has done such a good job building up Bldhaven and the players fighting for its very soul, and now those forces are colliding even more and it's hitting hard. Read Full Review
Nightwing #94 is another satisfying issue courtesy of Tom Taylor and Geraldo Borges. While Borges' pencils are rougher than Redondo's, his storytelling is just as strong and maintains the series' high standards for art. For those wary of a lack of plot progression, rest assured that Taylor's script maintains the arc's quick pace and delivers a final page that is certain to shake things up more than ever before. Nightwing #94 is a lesson in threading the needle between successful and unsuccessful slow burns in serialized fiction. The book tells a decompressed story that gives plenty of solid individual moments, but finally picks up the pace of the larger story to give the run a much needed jolt. Paired with mostly consistent art and strong colors, the issue reminds readers why this book remains a quiet favorite, popping up every month to provide some fun, well made comics. Hopefully, this issue gives that jolt needed to rocket the storyline forward, and Redondo can return in the next issue with feet running. Read Full Review
Nightwing #94 is another red-hot issue. Dick Grayson is a hero through and through and, as an ex-policeman, seeing him take down corrupt Bldhaven P.D. officers warms the heart. Dick and Babs are truly a heroic dream team in this issue, just as Blockbuster and his allies exude pure evil. As always, every character evokes an emotional response, and this month's cliffhanger really, really left me reeling. Read Full Review

This was a chapter of plot development with forwarding progression that works well for a good pay-off if given the chance. Very solid with no real problems, but the next issue will have more riding on it with how things have ended up for Melinda here. Read Full Review
With his back against the wall Blockbuster finally went full villain mode as he now sets out to reclaim his power. How that is handled after Nightwing, Oracle, and others are able to accomplish against him throws a lot of things up in the air as "The Battle For Bludhaven's Heart continues. It all led to Nightwing #94 being another strong chapter in Tom Taylor's run on this series. Read Full Review

Its rare for a single issue to have pacing this good
Come on, Melinda! You're better than that!
The series is ramping up once more.
A pretty solid book that has me interested in the next couple of issues.
I like how this is set up. Nightwing pulling the strings while Blockbuster is trying to figure out who the mole is. I really thought he already knew, that's why he put the Mayor in the room with Lester. I think this would have been better. But the action was good. The stakes are high and we all know it's going to come down to a battle between the two.
It would be a good time to bring Amy back, but no...
Better than the last issue, but this comic's not the same anymore. Taylor, you can do it better.
The end was good, but it seems like if you tore out 15 pages of the book, you wouldn’t miss anything.
Honestly it's good to see this book have another story than blockbuster throwing Canon fodders at dick and this book having some actual story progression and stakes. The problem for me is that those stakes are tied to a character that barley has any character build up after her introduction and her being in
