I personally don’t like the art. I think the problem is that watters is writing to his perception of the artists strengths and not his own strengths. The book just doesn’t work.

Another month, and another month where I wonder where the good writer I was told Dan Watters was?
Seriously, the comic has good art, good colors, look, he brought in a cool villain, and...... nothing. Nightwing doesn't do anything, Bryce and the lesbian cop get all the attention. The main "plot" develops so slowly that sometimes I wonder if it even exists.
Please, a new writer, and it do more

Blüdhaven is changing. A new hero rises under Nightwing’s watchful eye while the mayor vows to wipe out crime and restore order. The streets of Blüdhaven are quieter, even cleaner, but a new darkness is creeping in beneath it all. An old enemy is pulling the mayor’s strings…and is about to make themselves known.

Haven't read it yet but I came here knowing it was going to be review bombed by bigots. A happy accident for me, I accidentally ordered two of the 1:50 Jim Lee covers and those seem to be sky rocketing in value lol. I'll come back to this after I read it and adjust accordingly. Just wanted to counterbalance some of the bad faith review bombing for now.

You can stir up some harmless controversy with stuff that's much less divisive. And in that case, you probably wouldn't cancel the book. If the book is really selling because of this debacle... well, that's really fucked up.

You're right. Someone with half a brain can generate harmless controversy. Then all that's left to think is that this person needs professional help. Unfortunately, morbid curiosity sells. For my part, I think RH fans ultimately won, since the comic's narrative quality is poor.

Am I mistaken, or did Batman create Failsafe AND Zur to protect the world from himself? So, Bats creates two menaces to the world and to himself to take him down in case he goes 'bat-shit crazy.' Talk about self-inflicted wounds. How is this maniac allowed to operate on the streets?

Batman fights himself. The final version Zurich do dah version of Frank Miller’s Batman, so points for on the nose symbolism. I guess we’re supposed to see that the writer is symbolically putting an end to Miller’s Batman, but it is so heavy handed, he doesn’t stick the landing. Miller Batman can always come back. DC seems to think this stale concept of Batman is the only way to write him more

I didn't feel this. I liked that Red Hood had his guns (even though the cover originally showed him with his guns too and then DC chickened out and replaced them with swords just as they did on the RHATO #50 cover) but apart from that the way he was written reverted him back to a place he hasn't been in some time. Nightwing isn't very compelling either, in fact none of the characters, other than B more
