Beast World is proving to be a fun gimmick storyline, but there's a darker undertone at play with Amanda Waller, Peacemaker and Dr. Hate using this chaos to set in motion a more serious threat The Bureau of Sovereignty. This direction for DC is intriguing and it'll be fun seeing exactly how all this plays out over the next few months. Read Full Review

Titans: Beast World #2 does an excellent job at keeping the momentum from the debut chapter moving forward. Tom Taylor and Ivan Reis constantly keep the tension high as our heroes don't have a moment to rest. It all leads to yet further proof why Titans: Beast World is a can't miss comic book event. Read Full Review

Titans: Beast World #2 is a surprisingly entertaining action-fest as the Earth's heroes rally to stop Garro's spore infection from taking over the world. While I think that the second issue doesn't quite live up to its predecessor, mostly when it focuses on the animalistic heroes and villains, the second issue only stumbles slightly in its full sprint. Read Full Review
Overall, Beast World is a serious problem for these characters. This may be the worse tragedy to hit mainstream continuity since the last real crisis. Luckily, Ivan Reis makes the trauma look good. While Tom Taylor justifies turning everyone into violent furries to set up Amanda Waller, the event does warrant interesting questions. Firstly, where does the DC Universe go from here? The implications of this event would be incredibly brave to explore in future stories. Especially, seeing what happens to the heroes and civilians grasping with the aftermath has incredible potential. As for the Titans, I don't think they have what it takes to handle the weight of this crisis. Unless Tom Taylor has a way to redeem them, DC's premiere team haven't satisfyingly grown to scale with their problems. Read Full Review
Tom Taylor is taking what easily could’ve been another absurd premise for a wide-ranging crossover (see Knight Terrors and Gotham War) and is making something compelling, fun and credible instead, aided and abetted by the gorgeous Ivan Reid artwork.
I feel very similarly to how I felt with the previous issue. I liked everything we got here, but I did feel like it was moving fairly swiftly. Once again, the art from Reis was good and the story from Taylor was entertaining and intriguing. Dick having to face Bruce as a beast was cool and I liked how this issue ended. I just hope that we can finally start to slow things down a bit as we approach the halfway point of this miniseries.
pretty fun book with good art and an engaging story.
