Titans: Beast War #3 is cementing the heroes' legacy. This is a group that has always been on the sidelines. They are now the last line of defense, expected to save the world. Beast World has been a welcome surprise with an event that actually manages to feel important while setting up an even bigger threat. Read Full Review
Waller is a bit one-note here compared to how the character was originally conceived, but there's no question she's an intimidating villain and somehow makes the spectacle here feel like the secondary threat. Read Full Review
A great issue that remains engaging from cover to cover. Read Full Review
Titans: Beast World #3 is another incredible chapter in the latest DC Universe big event. Tom Taylor and Lucas Meyer did an excellent job at showing how our heroes go from reacting to taking action in the face of the Garro crisis. The developments with the Titans and Amanda Waller sides of the story build even more excitement for what will happen next. Read Full Review
Suspense behind what Amanda Waller's big plans are is keeping the story alive and now it's just a matter of time to see if she'll succeed. Will she turn the world's heroes into the monsters that she sees them as or will she finally be dealt with in the end of this event? Read Full Review
Titans: Beast World #3 is a slightly less gung-ho issue, but I'm sure it planted a lot of seeds for things to come! Bring on the next batch of comics, please! Read Full Review
On its face, Beast World has a ridiculous premise, but luckily, much like Bucky being brought back from the grave in Captain America, Tom Taylor is able to lend enough creativity to make it a hit. Read Full Review
I wholeheartedly believe that the same crowd of people who have enjoyed series like DCeased will not have issues with Beast World. If readers can tolerate the wonky premise, the overall tone, decent artwork, corny dialogue, and silly characters; then they will have fun with this. Otherwise, there aren't very many new reasons to stop if you've already begun. Donna, Waller, Detective Chimp, and Jon Kent's appearances rank among some of the highlights of this issue. While I'm still waiting to see how it all weaves together, this issue is the most entertaining the event has been so far. Read Full Review
Titans: Beast World #3 shows Amanda Waller making moves in her grand plan, and things happen, but the fundamental flaws in Tom Taylor's setup are starting to show their cracks. You get plenty of big action, and the plot is moving toward some outcome, but the story only works if you ignore two things - the history of Starro and Waller's goals to have the world see heroes as monsters. Not to be missed
This third issue holds up well. The first two issues were excellent and this one, though a little slower in terms of pace, continues to keep the stakes high and the suspense flowing. Honestly, it's been a while since we've had a quality event, and Beast World keeps its promises. Let's face it, Tom Taylor has a knack for this. You can tell he's put a lot of thought and effort into it, especially as he has a certain appetite for this type of choral storytelling. The paradox is that his Nightwing book is running out of steam at the moment. He lacks inspiration. Hence my question. Isn't Tom Taylor spreading himself too thin? Clearly, Nightwing is paying the price. The truth is, I don't know if you can be "at the mill" and more
This issue was back to the classic Tom Taylor I've missed of late. Solid story telling with stakes with fun dialogue and character moments.
This was probably my least favorite issue yet, but I still enjoyed it a good amount. While I do think the pace slowed down a bit here, which is one of the main things I've wanted when reviewing the past two issues, I also thought the story was a little less interesting this time around. With that, things evened out, resulting in another 8/10 for this miniseries from me. I will add that I think I enjoyed Meyer's art more than Reis's from the past two issues, though both were good overall.
I really love how hte story is just pure entertainment, and the art is different, yet it still has high quality. Overall, I enjoy this event, which is why Tom Taylor is one of my favorite writers out there.
The action is good, the art is good, Donna and Kory shine here. The dialogues are weak, at times embarrassing.
I hate what Taylor is doing with Nightwing, after him, the character will need a rebuilding run. There are simply no more normal supporting characters for the character, Bea has become a pirate queen, and now Clancy not only knows that Dick is Nightwing but is also working with the Titans.
