I don’t know who buys and reads this. I review it but I don’t pay for it. It’s a travesty for the character. Been a PG fan since the late 70s.
With her best friend fighting for her life in the hospital, Power Girl swears vengeance on the one who put her there: Ejecta! There's something strange about Metropolis's newest super, with the power to predict crimes before they happen. Could it be that someone more powerful is pulling her strings?
Long ago, the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne changed Gotham forever. But there is something you never knew about the Dark Knight's tragic origin, which has been lying in wait to strike at Batman ever since that fateful night in Crime Alley. ENTER EJECTA! The mysterious new hero has taken Metropolis by storm, but Power Girl and Omen don't believe the hype. How can this heroine stop crime before it starts? Find out as Power Girl fights to save her city from itself!
I am a huge fan of Power Girl. To me, she's one of the most underutilized characters in the Super-Family (sadly overshadowed by Supergirl). She’s a more mature and assertive version of Supergirl, who also doesn’t take herself too seriously. The series by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner is a real delight and deserves more recognition. This series, however, is written by an author who doesn’more

I can answer it sort of. This is my 'shame read of the month'. I hate it but I still hope it can be better. I really wish DC had editors that cared. Like most of my DC reads are by Jeremy Adams or Joshua Williamson who are good writers so I often wonder why DC doesnt get more readers. I read PG to remind myself why DC is doing so badly. To keep this series running after issue 12 is insane. The fact it is going past 18 is also mind blowing.
Not even about Power Girl anymore.
OMEN'S TELEPETHY GONE AWRY! Can Power Girl trust her suitor Axel? Only one person can tell her that answer for sure--her best friend Omen. But when Omen's telepathy is threatened by a chance encounter with a new hero, Paige must focus on saving her from herself--along with the rest of Metropolis!
As Huntress pushes to recruit the Harlequin's Son, the Legionnaire enacts his plans against the JSA! What does this mean for the future of the world's first superteam?!
THE HUNTRESS, HUNTED! Ruby's search for her father continues, and she'll stop at nothing to find him, even if it means killing the Huntress and destroying the Justice Society of America!
What a pointless, soulless, and boring tie-in to House of Brainiac.
HOUSE OF BRAINIAC TIE-IN! BREAK OUT! Power Girl joins the Holliday Girls in this action-packed House of Brainiac tie-in! Goblin and his goons may have the neighborhood, but they'll never break the spirit of our local hero and her new allies. With the biker gangs brawling, it's now up to Crush and Paige to shut the Czarnians down for good. Can the p...
Alan Scott's final battle with the Red Lantern rages to a fever pitch! With Alan overcome with anger at his mortal enemy, will he cross a line he's never thought he would? The explosive conclusion of one of the Green Lantern's earliest adventures is here, and the fallout will affect Alan Scott forever!
Picking back up from issue #4 after skipping the pointless Frembia arc.
For part 1 of the House of Brainiac tie-in we get the following from Leah Williams: Slice of life skate-boarding with cheesy boob jokes, Omen invading privacy being used as a comedic effect, and two pages of the guest star of the issue (Crush) with a tease of what’s to come in the future issues.

Jay and Judy's battle with Doctor Elemental comes to a head! Can Jay save his daughter, or is this reunion over before it's even begun?!
Action oriented with a promising beginning. This just needed more of Deadpool’s personality, kinda reads like a generic mercenary character rather than Deadpool.
A NEW ERA FOR THE MERC WITH A MOUTH, AND A GUN, AND A SWORD... CODY ZIGLAR (Futurama, Miles Morales: Spider-Man) has a wild ride planned for the Merc with the mouth! Introducing a terrifying new villain who won't stop until he catches Wade in his DEATH GRIP. But all work and no play makes Deadpool a very dead boy!
Rated T+
Not ranking this issue, because I haven’t read it. I’m genuinely curious on who is interested in this plot and new version of Power Girl?
THE SUPERGIRLS ARE TRAPPED! While tracking down the missing citizens of Metropolis, Paige and Kara have found themselves powerless in the mythical realm of Ferembia. ROY HARPER IS MISSING. Green Arrow and Connor Hawke investigate what happened to him and what Amanda Waller has done to the rest of the Arrow family...which makes it difficult when they are attacked by surprise agents of Waller! Red Arrow, Red Canary, Arrowette, and Speedy!
Should’ve just been a Red Lantern mini.
Alan Scott and the Red Lantern come to blows! But what's going to happen when these two ancient forces battle it out, and what will it mean for the Green Lantern?!
We get it Tom Taylor; Nightwing is a pure person who will do anything to protect a child. Get on with the real story (Heartless) already.
Nightwing continues to struggle with his recent woe--why can't he leap, and what's causing it? And Batman continues his investigation into it; is he any closer to figuring out the root of this new dilemma before there are some serious consequences? Plus, part two of the period saga! Around seven centuries ago, the Grayson name was born. A child of ...
The JSA scour Europe on the hunt for Ruby, the daughter of the Red Lantern! But can they catch up to her before she burns the Earth in search of her father?
This week marked a turning point in Hal’s story as Jeremy Adams (@spacekicker) began solidifying the foundation he’s been setting up since the series debuted, setting up a ton excitement for the next arc.
Hal’s journey to discovering a previously unknown power source has been hidden on Earth was a well-executed plot device that also gave someone from Hal’s past a nice cameo. Hal more
Unable to leave the atmosphere, the Green Lantern looks for help from a mystical source, which leads him to a mysterious gateway and surprising answers to the origin of Hal's ring.
When Amanda Waller makes her move to seize ultimate power in the DCU, nothing will stand in her way--not even the future. Spinning out of the events of Titans: Beast World comes the story of Dreamer--the precog dream-walker who has run afoul of the most power-hungry villain in DCU history. With a super-powered hero who can see the future on her sid...
Look at my previous reviews when I say this. This has gotten worse. I will defend Williams when I think it is just terrible editors ruining her. This seems random and totally pointless. Also no offence to the artist but this is such a step down from issues 1-4 which were not great to start with. The animal issue worked but this looks like it was written for kids. Nothing about this issue feels rigmore
The citizens of Metropolis are missing! Looking for an escape, many have fallen victim to Avalon, a new street drug that transports you to a simpler era...the Medieval Times! And turns out that it's not just a trip you take in your mind, people are being physically transported to this magical plane too! Looks like a job for Power Girl and her new b...
Based on what few metrics we have on how comics sell (overall they sell a lot worse than they did 7 years ago), PowerGirl is doing terrible in the standings and dropping every month. I wish Williams had a good editor as I think she has potential but DC and Marvels editors are clearly incompetent or actively dislike the companies they work for as they do not help their writers at all.
At some point it needs to be admitted that Williams is just not a good writer. This Paige stuff, new powers, and this Fermbia plot is all her idea.
Nice continuous flow from a quality standpoint. A JSA member makes a surprise appearance, and the father-daughter bonding of Jay / Judy continues. The plot doesn’t move much, but this was a solid read.
Doctor Elemental's plan is revealed as Jay and Judy race to save Joan from being captured. But this plot has been in the making for decades... Can the Flash and the Boom get one step ahead, or is this a final race for the Garricks?!
Once again this isnt really a PG comic, but not a terrible comic nonetheless. I dont know why editorial isnt helping Leah. It baffles me how incompetent the editors are. Leah clearly has some fun idea (the cat adventure is cute, but would be better as a shorty story in one of those silent one shots DC does), but no one is helping her form them.
All in all its a cute book but not a PG bo more
The cat’s out of the bag-Streaky takes center stage in a hair-raising adventure! Will the super-pet have what it takes to save Metropolis from its greatest canine threat? Or has the city really gone to the dogs?
i'm sorry, i was looking for the human comics..?

Only praise I can give this issue is that the Red Lantern was interesting, and it builds off of what Geoff Johns introduced in the 2022 New Golden Age book. Everything else is boring, mainly Alan Scott. You can have gay characters with personality DC Comics, it’s not that hard.
Alan Scott’s learned the Red Lantern’s dark secret! But even if the Green Lantern knows the truth, can he find the will to stop his enemy’s monstrous plans?
Trinity punching Diana reminded me of that one issue in Batman / Catwoman where Helena fought Selina. Didn’t like this new story, and I stand by my theory that the Super Sons were the real stars of the backup not Trinity. $6 for essentially an extra backup is not worth it. Don’t know how you make the daughter of Wonder Woman uninteresting and unlikable, but King found a way.
Featuring DC’s brightest new star, Trinity! Discover Lizzie’s earliest adventures as she takes the world of heroes by storm! Reprinting the character’s first appearance alongside hilarious tales of the little Amazon and her Super Son babysitters, this special will be an instant classic for fans old and new. Plus, a brand-new story from the al...
Huh, I actually kind of like Lizzie, her relationship with Jon and Damien was heartwarming.
Certainly the strongest tie-in for the Beast World event. All stories hit the right beats, and brought fun character interactions. The stand out story for me was Venditti’s “Jungle Society of America”.
City of stars! Father-and-son archer duo Oliver Queen and Connor Hawke are reunited in the face of evil as they investigate rumors of harrowing experiments taking place at the city aquarium. Across town, Black Canary’s cry becomes lethal as she succumbs to the Beast Boy spores. Can the city’s newest hero, Red Canary, stand up to her idol? Plus,...
Ugh. Seeing Eiko and Daario again was a downer, hearing "mama cat" and all the other cheesy lines again was a downer, the surprise guest appearance at the end was a downer.
Selina Kyle goes on her most daring and deadly heist yet-leaping headfirst into the heart of a melted-down nuclear reactor to steal highly valuable corium. But can she escape with only losing just one life…or are all her nine extra lives about to burn away?!
Beautiful artwork, plot builds up steady. Characterization shines through for Wonder Woman and the other Wonder Girls this issue, but the dialogue was not good.
If the U.S. government can’t stop her, then who can?! As Sargent Steel retreats to gather deadlier forces, the Wonder Girls call on Diana, begging her to lay down her lasso. Will she see the truth before it’s too late? Plus, Trinity invites the sons of Batman and Superman to Themyscira for a contest they’ll never forget!
Nightwing, Batgirl and the Titans are doing all they can to save a world overrun by Beasts. Heroes have become threats, and one of the biggests threats now stalks the streets of Bludhaven. Where once there was a Robin, now there is a cat. Can Jon Kent and Nightwing save the city from Damian Wayne? Or will the Super Sons be torn apart forever?
Dr. Elemental’s history is revealed as Jay Garrick and his daughter, Judy, race to dismantle a plan 80 years in the making!
