I found characterization to be the problem.
DC has had major issues with Supergirl. In efforts to reinvent the character over and over they have given her so many personalities that she has no personality of her own. Is Supergirl a temperamental misfit that punches everything, is she a girl that heads down to seedy bar to drink when things get overwhelming, starts barfights and tells kids to sod off, is she a drugaddled suicidal kid, is shemore

I found the art and colors very beautiful. The plot structure is very similar to the Silver Age. I liked the characterization too. I liked it overall.

The finale of this series is nearly unreadable. The narration is still overwhelming and a distraction from any story Tom King might be trying to tell. The fight sequences attempt to glorify the violence which makes it all the more gratuitous. It’s not enjoyable, it’s not engaging on any level. It’s a real shame King isn’t capable of utilizing the existing history between Shiva and Blacmore
The final round! With both fighters on the ropes and unwilling to surrender, the endseems as far away as Canary’s past. Can she find a way to make her mother proudand still save her from her an untimely demise? Find out as the last punches land!
The Justice Society and the rest of the hero community mourn the loss of one oftheir own. But as the dirt settles, the JSA needs to find a way forward to stop theInjustice Society’s plans, or the world is doomed!
Power Girl is an incredible character and I've loved her since All-Star Comics #63.
I loved her in Showcase. I loved her in Infinity Inc. I loved her in Crisis, Warlord, Justice League Europe, Justice Society, Infinite Crisis, JSA Classified, and of course Power Girl v1 & v2.
And then there's v3 by Leah Williams and... it was truly horrible.
The covers were great, but more

Paige can’t just stand by as this new Karengets involved in ventures and schemes she would never dream of. It’s up to her toexpose this imposter before they ruin her reputation for good!
Horrible title with Atrocious writing. Don’t ever let Leah Williams writer anything involving Power Girl again DC! Good riddance.

This comic has the same pacing of reheating food in the microwave. Moving slow and repetitive. The kids are fine. Kitty talks to her girlfriend and goes to work. There is no Emma and Bobby this issue. The stuff with Sinister should’ve got the ball rolling this issue, but once again nothing exciting with that happens until to the final
Our guy AXO is in trouble. Big trouble. He's bitten off more than he can chew in his relationship with charismatic technologist and Verate C.E.O. Sheldon Xenos, and now he's being held hostage while an Alex clone wanders around in his stead. Can the rest of the Exceptional team bail him out, or will they fall for the dupe of their beloved friend?
Does Jeff Lemire even want to write the JSA? This series is so soulless and rushed. There is no sense of passion or coherent story structure present. The decision to start the story in the middle of nowhere and show the team at their worst is extremely odd. I expected better from Lemire.
THE TOWER OF FATE UNDER ATTACK! As the demon horde descends on the Tower of Fate, a JSA-er won't survive! Meanwhile, the traitor within the Brownstone's halls makes their strike against the other team!
Nicole Maines is doing the damn thing with this title!

Before she can pause the music and show them the door, they detonate a magic bomb--that takes everyone back to the prehistoric age!
I applaud Eve Ewing for not shying away from addressing Kitty‘s recent past, however, it’s just not possible to justify the murders she has committed during the Fall of X storyline. Kitty, one of my favorite X-Men ever, is a ruined character, and it isn’t Ewing’s fault. However, the issue of Kitty’s mass murder is brushed aside pretty easily, and this is a problem.
The art is more
Saying the past is the past doesn't make it so, and Kitty is carrying the weight of her choices. Violence, vengeance and her life as Shadowkat are not so easily left behind - especially now that the rest of her team of new recruits knows the ugly reality of what she did in the shadow of Krakoa's fall. Now that the truth is out, so is Melee, leaving...
I think the ladder are reading the book. I don't think teens are reading this book. Because I am 42 years old and I'm reading this book. I rarely see teens in the comic book store.
Not just teens. Technically the cut off for gen x is 45 right now. Readers in their thirties and twenties is more my thinking. I'm 48 and most people in my store who really dislike this style are 40 and above. There will always be those who like it in all age groups, just speaking of the majority.
With her best friend fighting for her life in the hospital, Power Girl swears vengeance on the one who put her there: Ejecta! There's something strange about Metropolis's newest super, with the power to predict crimes before they happen. Could it be that someone more powerful is pulling her strings?

And now, all these years later, this ghost of Gotham's past begins to reveal itself. Superstars Tom Taylo...
ENTER EJECTA! The mysterious new hero has taken Metropolis by storm, but Power Girl and Omen don't believe the hype. How can this heroine stop crime before it starts? Find out as Power Girl fights to save her city from itself!
I am a huge fan of Power Girl. To me, she's one of the most underutilized characters in the Super-Family (sadly overshadowed by Supergirl). She’s a more mature and assertive version of Supergirl, who also doesn’t take herself too seriously. The series by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner is a real delight and deserves more recognition. This series, however, is written by an author who doesn’more
ENTER EJECTA! The mysterious new hero has taken Metropolis by storm, but Power Girl and Omen don't believe the hype. How can this heroine stop crime before it starts? Find out as Power Girl fights to save her city from itself!
I can answer it sort of. This is my 'shame read of the month'. I hate it but I still hope it can be better. I really wish DC had editors that cared. Like most of my DC reads are by Jeremy Adams or Joshua Williamson who are good writers so I often wonder why DC doesnt get more readers. I read PG to remind myself why DC is doing so badly. To keep this series running after issue 12 is insane. The fact it is going past 18 is also mind blowing.
Not even about Power Girl anymore.
OMEN'S TELEPETHY GONE AWRY! Can Power Girl trust her suitor Axel? Only one person can tell her that answer for sure--her best friend Omen. But when Omen's telepathy is threatened by a chance encounter with a new hero, Paige must focus on saving her from herself--along with the rest of Metropolis!

THE HUNTRESS, HUNTED! Ruby's search for her father continues, and she'll stop at nothing to find him, even if it means killing the Huntress and destroying the Justice Society of America!
What a pointless, soulless, and boring tie-in to House of Brainiac.
HOUSE OF BRAINIAC TIE-IN! BREAK OUT! Power Girl joins the Holliday Girls in this action-packed House of Brainiac tie-in! Goblin and his goons may have the neighborhood, but they'll never break the spirit of our local hero and her new allies. With the biker gangs brawling, it's now up to Crush and Paige to shut the Czarnians down for good. Can the p...
