Another great issue in the series.

But the Year One Thousand confused me greatly. I mean, I knew the words, I knew the meaning behind them, yet still, I had no idea what was going on.

I'm hoping that future issues will provide the necessary context to understand this odd future.

Well, that was one very misleading cover. The whole issue I've been waiting for Mr. Freeze to show up. But even though we don't get a lot of ice puns I enjoyed this issue.

I really like Thaal Sinestro so picked this issue up. I've read it and I still really like Sinestro. He's smart, he's clever and he is good with the ring.

Jarro's affinity for everything Batman was amusing but after this issue, the hug and everything leading up to it, the novelty of it is starting to wear out.

We do get a quick summary of all that happened with Metal, No Justice and everything else up to this point and I appreciate it, because, honestly, I can't rememb more

"It's the world out there that makes you lose your mind"

This is how you retcon a character's backstory and origin. You don't negate the things that were, but you add to them, expand and reframe them. That mutant power is awesome and so so terrifying.

Tom King just has no idea how to tell a story.
his "plots" are all over the place and incoherent.

Tom King also does not understand nor does he respect any of the characters within the DCU.

him being one of the main writers is a major reason why DC Comics is in so much trouble right now..

AH! if Snake was in charge, they'd be number 1 in the industry!!! ..no. i definitely don't think DC will be closing up shop any time soon. but this tightening of the belt does have me worried. laying off Mark Chiarello was a major loss. and i really feel that taking away Swamp Thing, Hellblazer and Animal Man away from Vertigo with the new52 was a huge mistake. i just hope they don't end print and phase into digital. as much as i may complain about clutter, i love my books and comics.

Great chase sequence (Burton's Batmobile looked awesome), as well as that short brawl between Jack and Batman.

Yet it kinda starts to feel like the book is running out of steam a little.

Man, was this thing hard to get through. X-Men books have an unnaturally high access point. The task of getting into those books ranges from difficult to nigh impossible and this one is no different.
