Man, this book has wandered so far off course. If you've a bottomless hunger for Star Wars homages, this might satisfy you, but Star Wars homages in X-Men date back to when Claremont watched A New Hope. The idea is tired, the execution is indifferent, and even Phil Noto's art disappoints. An off day for a book that hasn't had an on one in a long while.

Seriously, at this point this book feels like a amateur fan fiction writing where you are there just for a specific thing like a pairing and the story as to make little to nonsense. but this is a comic book and it feels worse than even some fan fictions.

Every issue of Cable that I read during the Krakoa arc surprised me with how much I liked Young-Cable. If you are a fan of the 90s and meta-jokes about pouches, you'll probably enjoy this. If you liked the growth of the character over the last few years, maybe side step this one.

I like Cable but as with Ewing's Defenders, this was such a slog to get through, at some point I wanted to drop it without finishing reading it. Another miss by Ewing who sometimes just thinks he's smarter and cheekier than he actually is. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's not a Cable fan.

Another Al Ewing Book where an editor needed to step in and keep him on track, especially as a Last Annihilation story! Long-winded and over-narrated, this has some good art, but for a book full of action, was a real chore to get through! For 90s Cable fans only IMO

I really can't believe that we're halfway through this series, and it's just... not doing anything? The three timeline thing is destroying any sort of pacing this title would have, I assume. I just... am perplexed. I don't even think this is a bad issue, really. I just don't think it's anything at all. It's just a null and void in my mind. Hence the five out of ten.
