PRETTY, PUNCHY, AND POWERFUL! After the events of Knight Terrors, a long-dormant Kryptonian threat has returned to take down Superman and his family. Who could possibly stop it? Well, according to the Man of Steel, it's Power Girl! Witness a road trip race against time as Paige reconnects with her roots to save the world from her deadly past. Power Girl Special writer Leah Williams returns with artist Eduardo Pansica (Supergirl) for an ongoing series of epic proportions!
Unsubtle politics, nerfed breasts, a stupid name change, an annoying antagonist, a jobbing protagonist, and an uninteresting setup. Just one more garbage DC book that will sell horribly and be forgotten.
I missed the politics in my read through of this filth, can you elaborate? It’s definitely for the best ANYTHIING Power Girl related from Leah Williams is forgotten.
There are a group of white protestors with southern accents screaming about aliens, and the black looking alien cries about Krypton practicing colonialism. Nothing subtle or creative about it, just tired real life parallels.
Honestly, in terms of politics, it remains much more subtle than many current comics. It didn't shock me. The real problem is that it's poorly written, and nothing is believable.
