The first issue of The Seeds is off to about as bad of a start as a comic can be. It doesn't flow and the artwork and writing are hindering the reader from enjoying it.

This series is a mess. This issue is a mess. Unless a miracle turns this around, I don't see Jeepers Creepers becoming worthy of your money or time.

So far, the Jeepers Creepers license is being put to waste in more than one medium. Dynamite's comic series is no exception.

Jeepers Creepers #5 suffers from the same tired storyline and with this being a showdown issue with our hero and villain, it carries no wait.

After I failed launch with issue #1, I am happy to say this limited series is finally showing some traction in this second issue.

Ice Cream Man #8 is a mess story-wise and is stretching the definition of "anthology," but at least the art is on-point as always.

Issue #5 shows promise for this anthology series and comes closer than others have to reaching the mark set by Issue #1

While we keep drifting off course from the main quest, Justice League Dark is still interesting. The new art team is decent, but I need to see some changes soon in the direction.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark could have been a nothing comic, but instead the team pulls it off and makes something that people can, pardon the pun, sink their teeth into.

Issue #1 wasn't very hard to beat since it was already lackluster and didn't paint a hopeful series ahead. Luckily, this issue picks things up (literally) and sets them in motion while giving us those old-school The Cape feels.

Issue #2 continues the comedy with our favorite Mistress of Horror, but this time she finds herself with Edgar Allen Poe.

Gideon Falls is in a strange place that has been somewhere interesting, but mostly hard to follow. Don't but the book down, keep reading. Lemire will take us back to the Gideon Falls we know, but in the meantime, get lost in the artwork. I still recommend this so people can follow along and keep up with the story of the Black Barn.

Archie: 1941 has been a great mini so far. This series focuses on the wrong things but still manages to get a few solid moments in as the series rolls into the finale.

It might be cheesy and it might be bloody, and that might be your thing. Die!Die!Die! #1 has potential, but we just won't know until the next issue where the story actually begins.

All and all this is wasted issue that goes nowhere and is all background story. If you skip this issue and pick up #9, you won't be lost.

The Ice Cream Man rollercoaster takes another turn down. This time the horror element feels shoehorned in, and the story would have been better without it.

Not too much to boast about in this issue, but it did set up the next set of villains to conquer. Still recommended.

It is nice to have The Empty Man back. It picks up not far from the previous run and has the same feel. Recommended.

Elvira: Mistress of the Dark #3 is keeping with the series charm and toning down Elvira just a little and making for a better comic.

Cosmic Ghost Rider #1 has all but guaranteed us a great series like nothing we have seen before.

A disappointing close to the first story arc. Sorrentino delivers on the art as always, but the contents of the Black Barn were lackluster.

An intriguing premier issue with an eccentric cast of characters to follow. Also, the art is top-notch and worth your time.

Justice League Dark #2 is not as fun as the first issue, but it is setting its roots and adding more characters to the fray.

Beware that you need to read Wonder Woman and Justice League Dark: The Witching Hour #1 in order to be caught up to the beginning of this issue. Otherwise, I recommend.

Robert Kirkman is doing what he does best and telling us a good story. Issue #5 is peeling back more of the story and finally giving us the "reunion" it has been leading up to.

Oblivion Song #6 is the finale of the first arc and it leaves us hanging in a good way.

In Oblivion Song #7 we get the full story behind the Transference and how it all came about. It was mostly a flashback, but important to the overall story.

Oblivion Song #9 is a heist, but it is hard to ignore the untapped potential of what the heist could have been. Instead, we get a very straightforward theft with little to no conflict.

People who enjoyed the first run of The Empty Man, and last months issue, will still find more to love here. It's dark. It's a showcase of the macabre, but it's captivating as Hell.

Cosmic Ghost Rider #4 takes a step back comedically and a step forward narratively. With one more issue left, this is still a must-read series.

Ice Cream Man starts its second arc with a strong, but silent, issue. Highly recommend!

I don't want this series to end. It's been an entertaining ride so far, and this issue shows us that one battle is over, but there are more coming. If you like Archie, and even if you don't, Jughead: The Hunger is worth your time. Issue #7 shows no drop in quality at all.

Issue #1 promises a realistic book based on history. I hope to see more than Archie handling the coming conflict since he was the only character in this issue with an arc.

Border Town #2 introduces a big conflict and a cuddly Chupacabra for the readers to care for. The narrative moves forward and the action is all but absent, which is forgivable.

Oblivion Song #8 is one of the series' strongest issues so far. The story is so fun that you just want to keep reading. Highly Recommend.

The Punisher has not wavered, yet, but the next issue will decide a lot. This is still a solid issue and worth your time.

Archie: 1941 continues to be an amazing experience. Even in this sophomore issue, you can feel everything the team is going for, and it should only get better.

Cosmic Ghost Rider is a breath of fresh air for Marvel right now. The book is comedic gold and the story is adorably weird. Read it!

Kirkman and the creative staff deliver exactly what I was hoping for after Issue #1. This is a relentless action-fest and highly recommended.

The creative team behind Old Man Logan is going all out on a horror comic that is proving to be quite gripping. Issue #5 is leading us into the arc's finale and is just as great an issue as we have had so far in this series.

Gideon Falls #7 is the first of the second story arc and it does a great job of setting up this volume with the characters running into new obstacles.

Isola is an amazing comic book that mustn't be slept on. Issue #4 is one we have been waiting for since we first opened the premier issue.

My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies is a fantastic book with ties to the Criminal series. I highly recommend this hardcover even if you have never read Criminal.

Border Town #1 is everything you want from a first issue. It is topical, brutal, and fun. A must pull series that gets my highest recommendation.

Border Town #3 could be the best so far. It has the political edge back and the artwork is so cinematic it is begging for a TV adaptation. Look out for the great final splash page. It is getting interesting...I mean...more interesting.

Die!Die!Die! #4 delivers just like the last few have. More action, more espionage, and a ridiculous thing called "The Brown Trigger."

Cosmic Ghost Rider #5 wraps up this phenomenal miniseries with heart instead of comedy. It is a safe ending to the series.

Die!Die!Die! #3 gives the readers more of they want while moving the story and the characters along almost perfectly. Very highly recommended.

Gideon Falls #8 is fitting more pieces of the puzzle together and reeling in the reader. The final page suggests the two worlds are close to colliding

The end of the first arc doesn't quite hit the mark, but the arc in its entirety is nothing short of stellar.

Issue #3 has just set the bar high for the series. If it can continue at this level, then DC will have a lot happy fans out there. This receives my highest recommendation.

Superhero comics are rarely this fun and entertaining. Issue #3 is the best so far and probably just as fun or more fun than the previous issue.

Die #2 is an amazing follow-up to the Masterpiece of the first issue. The world and characters are starting to be realized and there is so much promise in what is to come.

This series of the Punisher is unfolding in fantastic fashion. This issue is just as good as the stellar first issue last month. It gets my highest recommendation.

Die #1 is a surprise masterpiece that demands your attention. This is one of 2018's best comic issues.
