The visuals are outstanding. The way each universe is drawn has its own look, yet signature to Burnette. His Thanos is one of the best in recent comics. The cosmic surrounds were definitely my favorite. I can't give it away, but who and why Ghost Rider decides to give the Penance Stare was drawn and written so insanely perfect I had to reread the last few pages twice. The twist at the end of the story is one of the craziest, fun and unexpectedly odd that I've seen. Ever. This is what Frank thinks will fix everything. Instead of fighting, go back and end it all before it began. The final page is, well I honestly don't even know what to say about it without saying exactly what it is. If you enjoy way out there stories, totally of the map, pick this title up. There have been a few sneak peek panels revealed of what's coming. A character named "Juggerduck". So expect crazy! I enjoyed Cosmic Ghost Rider #1.Cates delivered a good story while also throwing in some wacky things as well. The art matches the tone of the issue perfectly. My main concern is really the next issue. The Cosmic Ghost Rider works well in small doses and in this first issue we really only get a small dose of him. Now the other issues will be more concentrated on him I am wondering how the story will be. I trust that Cates will make it interesting and not just crazy for craziness sake. I didnt hate Cosmic Ghost Rider #1, but I was never engaged either. The comedy isnt that funny, the stakes arent gripping, and the art is the only thing that reaches the level of functional. It's interesting. I know Cosmic Ghost Rider gained popularity and became a thing during the whole Marvel Legacy 'Thanos Wins' story arc in the Thanos book. Some of those issues saw multiple printings galore. I was never a huge fan of future characters like this set in a definitive, or what is meant to be a definitive, future (for now). But there are some exceptions; I enjoy Spider-Man 2099, and Doom 2099 wasn't bad back in the day. This isn't half bad either. I can see where people actually thought Cosmic Ghost Rider may have been Deadpool back in the beginning of Thanos Wins. The Ghost Rider persona has almost zero Frank Castle/Punisher in him. However, he remains an interesting enough character for me to care enough to turn the page. Read Full Review

Frank talked A LOT in this issue and there wasn’t a ton of action but this is definitely an interesting set up for a series

The script by Donny Cates was very good and had great pace. I really liked the story and where this book is headed as well. The dialogues were all written well. It also asks some good questions like why didnt anyone travel to the past to kill Thanos when he was a child. Haha.

I had some issues with the art by Dylan Burnett but as i kept reading i got used to it. It fits the madness and the tone of Cosmic Ghost Rider really well. Plus, the colours by Antonio Fabela elevates the art.

This issue is alright. Castle looks kinda weird. The art is ok but kind of cartoonish at times. I'm curious to know where this goes.

I read this and gave it a pretty harsh 6.5 review, but I read it again a few days later, took more time with it, and I kind of think my first review was way off. I did really enjoy this the second time I read it (the first time I read it digitally, because my copy hadn't come in the mail yet). I liked the introduction, showing the history of the character without heavy exposition, and I like the fact that he's unfit for Valhalla, and Baby Thanos...this could be cool. I really missed the bus on this with my first read, but now I'm pretty excited for what's coming next.

This is crazy and should not work. But it does, because Cates knows what he is doing and Marvel lets him do whatever he wants.

Those two are the reasons why Cates comics are so good.

After his wonderfully silly-awesome supporting role at the end of the last Thanos series, Cosmic Ghost Rider gets resurrected for fresh shenanigans. The dialogue and art preserve the manic "never mind the details" tone of a REALLY GOOD bar story. The script's pacing is surprisingly slow, though. This issue dawdles to ensure that it gets no further than resurrection + plot point 1.

It’s a fun book that doesn’t take anything seriously. I like it.

Maybe I expected to much of this. Or maybe it was just the kind of comics not for me. But I love Cates Dr Strange, so I give him the benefice of the doubt. And I was not in a reading I like. Oh, I give him the fact he warned before about his Castle Rider. And their was some part I licked. But not much, and I find all it uninteresting. For me he didn't succeed exceed the concept. And that will be all I will retain of this, just a concept, not much more !

Cover - I should have stick with the regular, because I don't like the style of the variant. But I had solicited the variant. Not really in link, just the character driving & laughing. 1/2
Writing - That wasn't bad. But like for cap I don't see why caste complain that much. Oh I heard him, but what a pussy (No not repeat to him that ^^ ). That seem a little empty. Even with this fucking psycho baby thanos. 1/3
Arts - I like the art, that put some fun in the character. I like this kind of cartoon face. It's not perfect but that do the job. For me the layout are too sober. I would have liked more madness in that part. 2/3
Feeling - I choose to not sollicites the third after this reading. But Cates will have the second for turning me. 0/2 more
