Want to make apocalypse stew? Throw in four Judges, one insane genetic scientist, a smattering of emoji-based cultists, a dash of Predator, and a pinch of essence of xenomorph, mix, and retreat to the nearest bunker. In this issue, Dredd follows a criminal cult leader into the Alabama Morass. A crew of Predators arrives on Earth to rescue a kidnapped comrade. And they both unwittingly wander into the territory of a revenge-obsessed, gene-splicing scientist who's just gotten his hands on a xenomorph skull-and the universe's deadliest DNA!

There's no fighting as of yet between the big three characters, but there's plenty of time for that. We'd rather the scene was set and the story was solid before going into the comic purely for violence. Though, the thought of that doesn't sound all that bad. Either way, this comic is a must-read for comic book fans in general. If you're a fan of Predator, Aliens, or Judge Dredd then you're in for a treat. Read Full Review

With a crossover like this, it would be easy for a creative team to simply throw these three franchises together and watch the blood start flying. But writer John Layman has clearly put a lot of thought and energy into making the three pillars of this crossover fit together. Enough so that you could cut the Predators and Xenomorphs out of the story entirely and still have a very enjoyable tale of Dredd and his allies hunting down a rogue, Dr. Moreau-like mad scientist. I found Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens #2 to be far more enjoyable than the first. It seemed to embrace more of what it wants to be. If the quality remains as is, I think this will be a fun alternative to the other comics out there. Until next time, this issue has been"judged! I'm sorry; I'm a bad person. Read Full Review

There may not be any actual fighting just yet, but Dark Horse is putting out a good science fiction story regardless. This issue feels more like a horror tale and that's not a bad thing! Read Full Review

I knew that I was going to read this issue no matter what, but I did not think there would be anything worth saying on another review. Thankfully the creative team surprised me. This crossover is a throwback to the early days of franchise crossovers in which they were cool and enjoyable. Thank god someone figured it out. Read Full Review
