Going into issue three, this series was on hot roll and steam rolling through a murder competition. However, issue three slows it down a bit and really builds up the human story. Kyle Starks does a fantastic job of showing us the love, respect, and friendship that our killers are building. Well at the same time, showing the real-world consequences of their double lives. Plot
Daniel, the Home Intruder, fell into the police's trap, but his speed and tenacity allow him to escape the entire squad and escape unrecognized.

Mark continues to protest his innocence to the police and refuses to speak without his lawyer. The judge doesn't sign the search warrant because Mark was his wedding photographer, and everyone who knows him is certain he can't be the Ladykiller, confirming that one should never take the fall for someone else.

Lucinda calls Cece, dismayed by the situation. Cece tells her she doesn't believe Mark is the culprit. Lucinda never imagined her husband was capable of this, but she begins to look at his address book, and the dates of the murders coincide with the times Mark went to do his supposed photography jobs. She is desperate and wants to open the "darkroom" he has in the house where he develops the photos.

Daniel tells Cece that Mark is not the Ladykiller. So he decides to buy the same tools Mark uses and murders a brunette woman. He calls the police, taking the blame, and thus Mark is acquitted.

But when Mark arrives home, nothing is right. Lucinda doesn't trust him and asks him to open the door to her darkroom. Mark refuses because he claims he doesn't have the key, that he left it at the police station. She knows he's hiding something and leaves. Mark explodes, and as soon as she leaves, he destroys all the furniture.

At this point, Mark and Daniel's bet is to the public: Ladykiller murdered 48, Home Intruder only has 45, but in reality, it's 46 for Home Intruder and 47 for Ladykiller. This whole situation is being reported by all the media, which sparks interest in Hole Killer, who has 57 confirmed murders since 1989, and no one knows who he is.

An excellent penultimate episode that sets up everything for what will be a conclusion full of twists and shocking moments.

Art
It has an interesting noir tone reminiscent of 1980s/1990s comics, playing with shadows and a color palette that highlight the violence of these killers. It's sometimes gloomy, then filled with light, and a roller coaster of suspense.

Summary
Daniel helps Mark get off the suspect list, but Lucinda knows her husband is responsible for these murders. All this perverse competition awakens the morbid curiosity of a killer who has been waiting years to compete with other killers.
