Jul 03, 2026I continue to enjoy this version of Wonder Woman, as it has very much become my entry point into the series, given that I never really read many of her previous comic book adventures. I’m particularly enjoying the use of the Greek gods and the creatures of ancient mythology, and how they’re woven into the overall story. Veronica Cale also makes for a formidable antagonist, and I look forward to seeing more confrontations between her and Diana. That said, I suspect those encounters will be few and far between, as Cale seems to work best as a villain who operates from the shadows. Read Full Review

AIPT - Diane Darcy
Jun 24, 2026Wonder Woman #21 is a well-paced, self-contained story that builds towards the shocking cliffhanger ending that sees Diana's most trusted ally suddenly betray her. This only creates an exciting, strong hook for the next issue. Read Full Review

Diana’s decent into the Underworld becomes problematic in a hurry. Thompson pushes both Wonder Woman and Barbara into dangerous corners. Snook and Bellaire lock in on the heavy drama at hand. Where this is going to be heading next is anyone’s guess. Read Full Review

Jun 24, 2026While it has a lot to live up to following my favorite arc of the series, Absolute Wonder Woman #21 delivers a rock-solid transition issue filled with action, mystery, and the messy machinations of the gods. When mortals and immortals meddle like this, it never ends well, but it makes for a fantastic comic. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez
Jun 25, 2026Absolute Wonder Woman #21 says nothing and goes nowhere, other than to fill space with mild plot progression on multiple fronts. Kelly Thompsons issue feels like baby steps of movement toward some unknown destination, and Dillon Snook’s squiggly art undercuts what little potential there is. Read Full Review

Really good writing, as per usual. Although, I do think Snook's work here was the weakest interiors the series has seen thus far, unfortunately. I still liked what we got here, in terms of the art, but I also felt that it wasn't quite as good as I would have hoped for. I can definitely see why he was chosen as a fill-in artist, though, as his style appears rather similar to that of Hayden Sherman.

Didn’t get much out of this issue.
It’s a very modern approach to comic telling, with very little happening in a $5 issue. -
