The Aspiring Kryptonian - Tyrone Tony Reed Jr
May 17, 2026Action Comics #1098 is another top-notch issue. I know Superman is missing, and while I hope and know he will eventually be found, I hope it is not anytime soon because I love this time-travel arc and the heroes selected to be a part of it. Read Full Review

May 13, 2026Superboy’s run-in with the JLU continues with a more personal tale than expected. Waid magnificently unveils a hidden side of the Kents to add into the conflict at hand. The art constructs the powerful images to compliment this while establishing the fast moving issues at hand. A vintage look at a hero’s legacy growing before our eyes! Read Full Review

May 14, 2026With an emotional retelling of baby Kal-El landing on Earth combined with a huge battle that has possible timeline altering consequences, Action Comics #1098 is another fantastic issue in what has been a great run. Mark Waid’s run has been full of great character moments and thrilling action supported by some dynamic art and this issue is no different. Skylar Patridge and Patricio Delpeche each get to showcase their talents and the contrasting art styles between certain sequences are great to view. Action Comics #1100 is almost upon us and I can’t wait to see what this creative team has in store. Read Full Review

Get Your Comic On - Luke Deckard

Pleasant as always, but I still think it's a mistake to call the reign of the Superboys an event, because what we're seeing are 4 independent stories that aren't related (and it seems they won't be).
The writing is good and the art is excellent for the most part. I didn't like the art in the flashback scenes.
And did I misunderstand, or did Clark discover his alien origin through time travel? The scene with Kent and Martian Manhunter was cute too.+ Like • Comment• Likes (1) -
