Batman has to attempt a cold solution to Gotham City’s attack, but is he too late? Fraction successfully layers humorous scenes in the ever growing drama. Scalera and Morey dive into the wild scenarios unfolding in the pages. A nother unique look at the connection between The Dark Knight and his rogues. Read Full Review

Batman #14 is one of those rare event tie-ins that is both extremely important to the overall story (this feels like it’s the turning point in the war against the Green) but also doesn’t really feel like it’s a part of an event. Fraction is able to capture a human side of the Batman mythos that just does it for me and this issue has so much of that; Verity’s sarcasm sent me into paroxysms of laughter several times. Scalera and Morey’s art is flawless Bat-art and some of the best I’ve seen this year. Batman: Bad Seeds has slowly grew on me (I didn’t realize this was something of a pun until after I wrote it), because every part of it I’ve read has been great and this issue is no different. Bad Seeds continues to advance slowly in Batman #14 as it has in most of the other tie-in issues. Here there is a little greater sense of momentum as Batman is pursuing a possible solution. From a plot advancement perspective, Batman #14 is the most crucial issue since Batman Bad Seeds Sunset #1. Read Full Review

Fraction ties together some pretty decent lore, characterization, and action with guest artist Scalera to push Bad Seeds into the endgame. Read Full Review

Batman #14, whilst being somewhat brief, succeeds in bringing a new player into the game, maybe even two. As the Bad Seeds arc starts to gather pace, I am intrigued to see what the pay off is at the end of it. Will it be a return to the status quo in Gotham City that predated Vandal Savage’s residency, or will we go off into another tangent altogether? I hope whichever way it goes, the ends justifies the means. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

Unfortunately, for all the stories strength, Batman #14 also highlights how disjointed the Bad Seeds crossover is. It doesn’t feel like we are in the middle of a big event since it does feel like there is so much of Bad Seeds that is happening offscreen. Read Full Review

Batman #14 spends a lot of time on pointless action, and it’s not with Batman. Matt Fraction is going for the record for the most consecutive Batman comics where nothing substantial happens, but Matteo Scalera’s art makes the grade. Read Full Review

Remember kids, the ones saying no such thing as an ethical billionaire are the same ones breaking and entering, committing aggravated assault, abusing their position of authority, etc.

We get it Matt. Billionaires Bad. Criminals who steal from them Good. such retarded logic.
But on to Batman- Well Batman is searching a cave looking for Mr Freeze and his wife who like all things in comics is just another equally as powerful version of him. all that happened in Rebirth and it was pretty terrible stuff. so why not drag these characters into this equally lame Poison Ivy storyline that just wont end. Pausing the massive number of storylines that were finally beginning to pay off in Issue #12. nope Minotaur Joker. ninjas. Ooo. all of it on pause as if they weren't happening.
Back to this issue. lots of talking with Verity and Batman as she stops robbers and he looks for the freeze couple and asks for their help. more

Yet another Bad Seed crossover that has me lost because I haven’t read the 454 other books in the story. Apparently the Frieses are fighting but Bats needs their help. I always felt that reviving Nora kind of killed Victor’s whole vibe. Why be a criminal to avenge a wife who hates him because he turned her into a popsicle? Their marriage troubles are now on him.

Also Savage sends three huge cops to Pennyworth Manor (a manor house is the center of a large farm owned by gentry. Sort of an ancestral home and the center of operations. I’m just saying.) Of course a 90 pound soaking wet woman can beat up and not to kill three gorillas because they are written stupid. They split up and don't cover each other. They grab Verity instead of k more
