I'll admit "Batwoman" #35 had me a little worried about the return of Alice, something that's been looming over this storyline. With each new installment of this story arc coming together a bit more, it makes her stepping onto the center stage next month less of something to fear; now I'm just curious to see what Andreyko has planned for the character. The introductions of the rest of the Unknowns have worked out well enough that my interest is properly piqued. So far, so good. Read Full Review

Reading Batwoman #38, I feel just like Maggie Sawyer"frustrated that Batwoman has become unrecognizable and longing for the heroine with integrity I once knew. At this point, Nocturna has completely derailed the narrative and drained all the life from the title. Put a stake in this vampire of a storyline and nail the coffin door shut. Read Full Review
This is a hard issue for me to rate. I liked everything about Kate and the Unknowns, but hated everything else. Marc Andreyko is giving readers an action filled action movie and also destroying everything that made this book great. Talk about multitasking! Juan Jose Ryp's great art shoots this issue out of mediocrity, but just barely. If the last two issues just concentrate on the Unknowns, I'll be a happy man. Read Full Review
It's not absolutely terrible, but there isn't anything here I can recommend to justly spending your hard-earned money on. If you are a fan of the obscure DC character, Ragman, you'll enjoy seeing him here, but he seems more like aMacGuffinthan anything else. Batwoman #38 just comes off like a first draft, instead of a ready to go book. The only good thing I can say is that the cover work from Rafael Albuquerque is out of this world. Seriously, DC, you need to get this guy to do the art on this series to save it from itself, because right now the only reason to get this story-arc is to display Albuquerque's connected covers on the wall. Batwoman might get a good wakeup call as her sister decides to drop ain for ma much needed house call. Will Kate drag herself into a second of clarity before the end or will her downfall lead to her tragic demise? If you are a pure Batwoman fan I urge you to grit and prepare for the worst comic storm of your life. Read Full Review
