May 20, 2026Kate Kane’s journey into action leads back to an old friend as Petalon continues to crush her will. Rucka’s writing keeps applying pressure on Kate to break and fight. Dani & Hollingsworth construct amazing images of this shifting new world. This is the Batwoman saga fans have been waiting for! Read Full Review

May 23, 2026The return of Renee Montoya this issue is very welcome, but given how the issue ends, it only makes the mystery about what’s going on with Kate more worrisome – and all the more urgent. Read Full Review

May 20, 2026Though lovely to look at and entertaining enough, 'Batwoman' #3 feels a bit impenetrable, with a stoic protagonist whose decisions feel opaque even to more tenured readers. Read Full Review

May 20, 2026Batwoman #3 continues to showcase DaNi’s incredible art style alongside the beautiful colourings of Matt Hollingsworth. This issue slows things down and really gives Rucka the time to flesh out Kate’s world and her supporting cast. But now definitely feels like the time to start revealing a little more about what’s really going on. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Frank Jarome
May 22, 2026In the end, Batwoman #3 is a rough read, which is very disappointing as a Greg Rucka fan. The art, while nice, lacks a certain clarity. The storytelling doesn't fare much better—it's almost impossible to determine just what is going on here, and there are very few clues or pieces of information being given. This title started off with a good bit of hype, and my excitement has cooled with each subsequent issue. I'm going to try to stick it out until the end of this Eschatology story arc, but it's getting harder to do so each month. I hold out hope that the team can turn things around and stick the landing in the end, but it's a pretty slim hope. Read Full Review

I'm enjoying this series a lot so far! The beautiful rosy palettes of day contrasting with the sharp terrors of the night. Kate feeling faraway and lost to the reader. Definitely a little slow but I don't mind! Happy to take a long walk through a short world.

Glad to say I liked it better than #2, but I still think this book is capable of being better with the creative team that we have. Though, again, I do think this was an improvement over the previous issue. DaNi's interiors felt stronger here, despite nagging issues I have with them still being present. Rucka continues to provide a solid story, but I think I'm still about as interested as I was beforehand. That said, really hoping this book continues to do nothing but keep improving.
