This issue was a great entry that brings in other characters in Batmans quest to stop the Orgham family. I hope the plot gets back to the battle in Gotham soon though as readers are likely ready to see how the overall story shakes out. Read Full Review
Detective Comics #1079 is a beautifully illustrated climax to the "Outlaw arc's heist plot. It expertly connects the threads from the past three issues into one exciting story, making all the buildup worth it. Detective Comics #1079 brings the "Let's Hang Batman" mini-arc to a close with clever twists, moody art, and an ending with potential. That said, everything surrounding the Orghams is a convoluted mess, and Catwoman's clever twist wasn't thought through. Read Full Review

The way everything comes together here is a real treat. You can see all the story threads being built even from the side stories all come together. This is why I tell people to let Ram V cook and be patient with it.
He knows exactly what he is doing. And thats writing a good comic.
The penultimate chapter of this 5-issue arc within the arc really delivers, thanks to a near-perfect combination of plotting, scripting, characterization and artwork! The back-up story does a great job flashing back to the Oghrams’ arrival in Gotham and fills in several gaps. Looking forward to the next chapter!
