This is a cute and fun short tale. I appreciate how the action is at the forefront. It reminds me of vintage newsprint comics. And I found the harsh lesson at the end to be poignant, though relatively predictable. Read Full Review
While I'm still not loving the black and white for this story over all and that especially holds here given that Future State: Gotham #4 follows some of Gotham's most colorful characters, this chapter of the story is actually kind of refreshing and delightful. Read Full Review

Not that great, I mean I like the action going on in ways that bring out the manga aesthetic. But this felt more like padding even if it does make some sense since this is about Gotham not Red Hood and the Bat Family. Even if I was waiting for what happens in this brawl between Red Peacekeeper and Next Batman. And what the Bat Family would do. But I have to admit there was something cathartic about Harley getting some payback on Punchline
Plus I have a funny feeling on who this Next Joker is...
This is a title that shouldn't exist, and that's exemplified by DC putting pointless reprints of old Black & White comics in the back. At least it went fast.
I guess the only question is: was this necessary? It interrupted the story in a pretty important moment for what, a Harley vs Punchline fight? I guess there's that last page thing but I don't think anyone's excited about that.
Mediocre, bad, simple.
Absolute rubbish
