I dunno about you, but something about this simplified Manga-esque art seems to bring out more of the tension.
Red Hood comes mask to mask with Gotham’s most wanted, the Next Batman, as the future of the Bat-Family continues! It’s a deadly showdown made worse by the horde of psychopathic criminals who want to kill them both! And finally, the new Gotham villain Warmonger reveals himself!
This issue uses a modern comic style and forgoes color. Adopting, instead, and black and white technique. The action sequences are really well done, and transportive. Read Full Review
This series is growing on me as it has elements of Tom Taylor's work as well as Sean Murphy"call me a sucker for either one of those, but this has strong hints of what they do in a comics. While it is gaining some traction, I would have enjoyed this being a bit more timely in its release. is this the future? It's all very Charles Dickens to me. Read Full Review
We have, like always, left him in a bit of a precarious position. That ending, though! Just" WOW. Tha's an immediate "GIMME!" for the next issue, as in gimme it now, please! Read Full Review
Even though I'm disappointed with the decision to omit colors beyond black and white in this book, the team involved has done well to ensure this is still a good read for Red Hood fans. I could go either way on Chip Zdarsky or Williamson and Culver taking control of Red Hood beyond their respective books. I seem to flip-flop issue to issue, but it's a good problem for DC to have right now. Read Full Review
The art itself is solid, but the choice to make the book black and white doesn't really work so well when without color it's becoming increasingly difficult to tell characters apart. Particularly in the case of Punchline and Harley Quinn, the two characters are essentially identical in terms of features. Read Full Review
This book has had some ups and downs for sure. Last issue was such a creative breakaway, and I was hoping the momentum would carry over into this issue, but it looks like we're going to be stuck in setup hell for a while. I wish I could say I wasn't disappointed. Read Full Review
I'm Manga's reader , so the lack of color doesn't make fell bad, Milonogiannis' art on my personal apprehension looks better.
I'm excited for the next issue, the family is close, Hood about to get hit with the replacement Batman.
Joshua may not be Chip but he has something that Zdarsky does not and that is that he is better documented with respect to #RedHood, it is clear to me that Zdarsky writes for Batman and Williamson for Red Hood, the writing may be younger, be in this horrible event of Future State accompanied by bad art and colorless and even so I liked the story more in this issue.
Joshua does an incredible action-packed job on this issue, I hope Hood kicks the fake Batman's butt, I totally hate Tim Fox he's a bad character, he always was with a mediocre development he has never shone in his previous comics.
Very silly backup story.
"What about that new peacekeeper?
He's gone too.
But if h's down there with the inmates..Then he's already DEAD."
The emotional charge is not that complex in this installment, the narrative was agile, it sees a lean towards the next Batman and I feel that DC's hand is here controlling the writing of Joshua W.
I had fun reading this story, I talk about Hood's, the other with a single glance I could see that it was bad, so I will focus only on Hood's.
If I want to read a manga, I buy a manga, I don't go for a comic. We all know that this is to save dollars.
I am really enjoying the story, but the lack of color is not helping the book
Things are really heating up and the manga-styled artwork really allows Milonogiannis to use the page elements to their fullest. Especially with how the action plays out with fights feeling really intense with the angles on display. Although I'm a little perplexed with how many more characters appear like Punchline and Harley Quinn in reaction.
Yes, I can say this is a completely self-satisfied rating and isn't it every one of our ratings and reviews?
This is fine, but I could take it or leave it. I don't find it very interesting, but it kept my attention well enough.
I had fun reading it.
A little action, gum like throwing the prisoners in the well to fight how many times I have seen it, it is ridiculous that the next Batman is so good, it feels so forced, but I liked the development on Hood a little. I still don't like art. All regular.
Joshua, who is the men in charge of the Robin series, part of Infitite Frontier, is not being so bad, maybe he is a bit youthful, more direct in his writing and I like the ease with which it flows. Although for some reason they chose to continue a very controversial series such as FS now leading RH, with cheap art devoid of color that in a comic is a terrible mistake. Not bad, I like the story.
good story bad art.
Dull, and too desperate to parrot manga instead of doing its own thing. This is "we have manga at home" of comics. The fact that Red Hood fanboys are only talking about "feats" and "power levels" shows you the IQ level of who this panders to.
