Hey guys, first of all, thank you for your support, it means a lot to me the fact that people appreciate my honesty regarding the comics we all love. Second, let's not get this thing out of proportion. Dan contacted me because apparently some people are bothered by what I post and have bombarded him with emails, honestly, I imagine it wasn't easy for him either constantly being sent emails about my posts.

He told me some stuff that bothered him too, there were some fair points and I've explained my position too. We had a nice little chat, he also told me that he'll talk with the other guys too because he doesn't think that I'm the only one here who may have overstepped so there's that, too. He supported me saying what I believe about comics, whether they're bad or good.

I wasn't threatened of being banned or anything but I imagine the usual actors won't change their behavior (some of them have already gone back to their usual routine) and if that trend continues, I don't know what the future holds. But again, thank you for the support, it brings me joy that people appreciate free speech and I urge you to review the comics that you like or don't like, make your voices heard. Thank you!

Because I like Nightwing. As I read Batman through the second half of King's run or through the Tynion run, I'll read this too because the love for the character trumps the dislike for the writer. I also got through the whole Ric ordeal, so if I did that, I'll make it through Taylor's abysmal run too, I just hope it will be as short as possible. But hey, why are you here commenting if you blocked me, since we're in the asking questions business? That seems weird.

Activists like Taylor want the mush minds that love his writing to believe "the unhoused" are just poor saps crushed by the privileged and could pay rent that month. In fact most are criminals drug addicts and mentally I'll. They belong in prison or for the mentally I'll in institutions getting their meds and some dignity.

In the last 2 weeks I've had 3 incidents with Taylor's unhoused. The worst was when my neighbor called me at 10 at night terrified because an unhoused was trying her door. I managed to send him in his way. He was incoherent and clearly a mental patient.

They should be grateful that you still read it, for my part I have put it aside for purchase and now I don't even read it for free. They say that there is nothing worse than ignoring something or someone, which is worse than hate because you are still on the lookout, and take your time.

@Ming: I wouldn't be so harsh. I really don't think most of them are criminals. Some of them end up on the streets after some really tragic circumstances. For example,I used to know a university teacher who ended up on the streets. The guy wasn't a criminal by any means, it's just that some bad stuff happened to him and he lost all he had. There was another guy I knew who also was a pretty smart guy but one of his parents died in the national revolution against the communists and he also lost it

So no, I don't agree with your assertion about them. Yes, some of them are mentally ill. The fact that they live in the streets and not being taken care of is a failure on the state's part. And all over the world this is a problem that states ignore. I agree that we need to do better by them, I just hate this language control where lefties change the meaning of the words to suit their worldview.

"Unhoused" instead of "homeless" implies people should be given houses. I mean, I also think that houses should be way more affordable than they are today when it's getting harder and harder to buy a house no matter how much you work your ass, but the whole "the state should house people" while seems nice in theory, it hasn't worked so well, history has shown. So in a way I even agree with some of Taylor's points, I just don't agree with his obsession about language and the way he goes about it.

I understand what you're saying Merlyn but where I am it's getting quite serious. The mentally I'll belong in facilities that can look after them and restore their dignity. The criminals belong in prison where they cant harm others. The ones that just hit hard times and couldnt pay rent are the minority here. Some are saying it's gone beyond fixing at all.

As for the lefts penchant for euphemisms look no further than "restorative justice" or "equity". Sound lovely and totally empty of any value to anyone.

It's not that black and white regarding the mentally ill. Most of them don't need to be locked in asylums, they just need some period of hospitalization where they're given treatment and they can get put back on their feet. I have a lot of people close to me who have gone through mental trauma and most of them got better after short hospitalizations.Only the absolute worst cases, those who are endangering themselves and others or those who aren't looked up by anyone need to be permanently locked

Maybe I understood you wrong but I don't know what you really mean by "facilities". I got the impression you were talking about mental asylums and, like I said, most people don't need to go there, only the most extreme and dangerous cases. The rest of them just need some period of hospitalization. I don't know what's the situation regarding this in the USA but in Europe most people are given free treatment for a limited number of days even if they don't have insurance.

Usually it's not enough but better than nothing, I guess. As for the criminals, I agree, although putting myself in their shoes I can see why they resort to criminality. I mean, they're homeless, for some of them prison may even be an upgrade. The dangerous ones that can harm others belong in prison for sure.

Yes when I say facility I mean what's appropriate for the affliction. They deserve compassion and dignity. But letting things metastasize where conditions are now dangerous helps no one.

I have an acquaintance that has bi polar. She went off the rails. They'd put her in hospital for a days she'd get out then start again. Finally the medication started to work. Shes get herself into shape again and making some progress. However she still cant really function like she used to. Euphemisms like unhoused wont help her though.

I hope she gets better. I also have people close to me who have gotten through mental problems. If they have proper support from family and friends and they get their medication (this is very important, some of them refuse to take their medication and that's not doing them any good) they can get much better. Obviously no one is ever going to be the same after a mental trauma episode, but they can still be highly functional, they just need help at the right time, treatment and compassion.

Her problem in the past was that the medication would make her feel "normal" she'd stay out of trouble and then shed stop taking it thinking shes well enough to. Only now is she understanding that she cant stop taking it. She has adult children that have been helping her.

Yeah, that happens more often that it should, I've seen these types of situations.
