No but in the conversation for sure.
It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for…the capture of Krem! With the fugitive in custody, Supergirl must now deal with his allies, the ungodly Brigands! To stop them once and for all, she must leave Ruthye behind with the man who killed her beloved father. Can she trust the young girl to let the villain of our story live long enough to stand trial? Or is this the tragic end of his story and ours?
Whatever the ending"and I expect it to be emotionally traumatizing"this is destined to be a classic. Read Full Review
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #7 is yet again, in broken record fashion a stunning issue both visually and story wise. It has depth, it has emotions, it has a literate sense that rises above what we have come to expect in great comics. As long as the story lands the ending, this will go down as a benchmark in the medium, and if it doesn't, the art won't suffer the same fate, Evely and Lopes are an iconic artistic pairing. Evely delivers some amazing visuals throughout the issue. There are some truly beautiful character and action moments to be found and the art perfectly captures the tension of both storylines. Read Full Review
While this issue has its fair share of flaws, it still does a very good job of conveying its two central messages: Revenge can leave you empty, and even those with power can face defeat. Tom King, Bilquis Evely, Matheus Lopes and Clayton Cowles have produced an almost masterpiece, so we can only hope that its upcoming finale can wrap everything up very nicely. Read Full Review
King has accomplished quite a lot with Evely in the course of what has been, to this point, a very, very satisfying mini-series. It will remain to be seen whether or not the final issue manages to wrap up her everything in a way that will meet a final and truly satisfactory conclusion to the whole plot. There have been some extremely powerful moments in the series thus far. King has done some remarkable things in his time with Kara. She has achieved a kind of breathtaking complexity in very sparse moments that have rendered quite an impact. Read Full Review
One definitely gets the sense that the conclusion this issue is setting up for is either going to be devastating or underwhelming, but at least this issue is a lovely read. Read Full Review
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #7 is filled with fantastic art, fascinating dialog, and tense, dramatic moments. The questions that's plagues this series from the beginning persists - What is Tom King trying to say and why is he saying it in such a weird and out-of-character way? Read Full Review
We get one more issue of this. Remember, this started with us hearing Supergirl kills Krem. So we'll see. But given the way this has unraveled, I can't imagine this ending any other way. This is not a Supergirl story. This is certainly not a good Supergirl story. Read Full Review
Sad this series is ending soon. Will be on the look out for whatever this creative team decide to do next.
Greatest supergirl story ever?
Beautiful prose, beautiful/incredible artwork and a mythos in Supergirl that feels larger than life.
I do wonder how it'll all end, if I was in Ruthye's shoes, I am not sure if I'd be able to keep my word to Kara either. Not after everything she witnessed.
Very much an enjoyable ride and I do like the narration boxes from king. The art is what makes this book hit all the right angles. No artists could recrate this world in this fashion. Hats off to Evely and Lopes!
King trying to write dialogue for Kara is like a gorilla trying to dance.
Strangely enough this issue works pretty well because he isn't trying for once.
Art is amazing as always.
would have been cool if it had been condensed to like 6 pages.
This is the weakest issue in a while. It becomes an obvious read, and that makes it especially boring.
King still doesn't get Supergirl but that's not even the main issue. You can misunderstand a character and still write an entertaining story but this is just super boring. The only good news here is there is only one issue left of this. Definitely not the best Supergirl story ever, though lately there are no good Supergirl stories, unfortunately.
Still awful story and worse "art".
