This has to be the best issue of this series to date. I loved the backstory of this version of Eternia and how He-Man laid it all out for the other He-Man and Prince Kelder. And the way this issue ends has me looking forward to finding out how this will all be concluded. Given that there are no more He-Men left. Only Prince Keldor, Skeletor and Anti-He-Man. Overall, this series has a strong central concept, but may have gone on an issue or two too long. I'm not the most versed in the mythology of He-Man, so I might be missing a few in-jokes, but the world has a rich mythology and this series asks some interesting questions. Just a shame it can't cross over with the best material related to the property in decades, over on Netflix. Read Full Review

This was probably the issue Seeley injected some sense of optimism that the tide was about to turn. Instead the big comeback is being saved for the final issue, and at that point it might be too late for a satisfying conclusion. Read Full Review

Ultimately, unless you are a super fan, you have not continued to read this series. It is beautiful to see, but it just doesn't land on its feet. Yes, it is great to see the “classic” He Men in action. Battle Cat is a welcome sight, but overall, this just doesn't make sense. I am not sure how they are going to tie all this together next month. I suspect all the He-men will merge into one like Jet Li in The One. This book is essentially that plot anyway. Maybe you should buy this to look at the excellent art and then watch The One so you can follow what is happening here. Read Full Review
