And I think each writer definitely could do a solid job. Lemire, Shalvey, Taylor...all could do solid work (even if I would miss Ewing terribly)
How nice to read a Nightwing comic that doesn’t utterly suck. It’s been literally years. Can’t wait for Taylor’s run. That looks fantastic but this was pretty okay too. It’s about time!
It’s an all-new dynamic for the Dynamic Duo when Nightwing and Gotham’s mysterious new Batman join forces against the Magistrate. But when the totalitarian force controlling the city declares the two heroes their primary targets, Nightwing will need to call on the full force of his hidden resistance, including two Batgirls, Huntress, and Two-Fa...
After Nightwing was consistently disappointing during the Rebirth era, this is a pleasant surprise.

Would I feel the same way about Future State Nightwing if there hadn't been an awful storyline before it? I don't know, but it was no less than great to finally see Dick Grayson in action again without the baggage and mishandling of the last 2+ years.
Constant showcases what makes Dick so competent. His Dick is permitted to be smart and a leader. And that's about all fans have been want more
Batman is gone! Now, Nightwing has taken on the mission of keeping the citizens of Gotham City safe from the Magistrate. But to do that, he’ll have stay one step ahead of the Magistrate! The moon colony built around Superwoman’s Fortress of Solitude is under siege! Shape-shifting aliens have come to this place of peace in search of Lynari, a refugee from their homeworld. It’s a bad move on the part of these intergalactic bad guys: if Kara Zor-El offers you sanctuary, there’s no way she’s going to let anyone get their monstr...
Kara Zor-El, Superman’s hot-tempered cousin, has finally found peace and purpose away from Earth and its heroes. Now known as Superwoman, she watches over the Moon and the refugees from across the galaxy who have congregated there. But all of that is about to change when a spaceship piloted by a runaway alien crash-lands and turns Kara’s world ...
I actually liked both of these stories. Joshua Williamson did a good job working on the relationship of the new JL, and Ram V proved he can write JL Dark just fine without working off of James Tynion IV's existing outline.
Exiled to a distant planet, the Justice League suspects an impostor in their midst, but not even the next Batman or Green Lantern can find the clues they’re looking for. Meanwhile on Earth, the terrifying return of a classic Justice League villain may spell doom for the planet! Doppelgängers abound, paranoia runs rampant, and only the Justice Le...
Witness the start of a new era for the Justice League starring Jonathan Kent as Superman,
Yara Flor as Wonder Woman, Jo Mullein as Green Lantern, Andy Curry as Aquawoman, a new Flash from the Multiverse, and [REDACTED] as Batman! Together, they protect the future, yet apart, their identities are secret even from one another-but why? When th...
The Undoing is here. Superman couldn’t stop it. Darkseid couldn’t stop it. Only Diana Prince is left to hold back the being that could spell the complete disintegration of the cosmos. But will even she be powerful enough for the task?
Meanwhile, in another future, Nubia’s attempts to stop the theft of ancient artifacts have led her to...
The Undoing are coming. Long past the Age of Heroes, few of Diana Prince’s friends survive, and most of her sisters have passed as well. As an immortal goddess, this is her lot. But then, a threat appears that even the mighty Darkseid can’t handle-and it’s up to Wonder Woman to take on the battle! It’s big action and high fantasy at the end...
Stephanie Phillips did a fine job, however the ending feels a bit weak. The art by Di Meo is both incredible, but also overly processed. If they cut back a bit on the effects, they could be a truly top tier artist.
Harley Quinn has gained Jonathan Crane’s trust, everything is going according to plan, and she is getting close to making her escape. But Black Mask and his gang are continuing to undermine the Magistrate and push Crane closer to the edge, where he will become the Scarecrow once more. Will Harley be able to defeat the Scarecrow and stop the Black...
In a bold move that rocks Gotham City, the Magistrate has imprisoned Harley Quinn! The villain once known as the Scarecrow, now a pawn of the Magistrate, taps into Harley’s knowledge of Gotham’s villains and the Black Mask Gang for his own dark purposes. Crane and his bosses think they have Harley Quinn defeated and her spirit broken, but they ...
Catwoman has clawed her way through half of the Magistrate’s bullet train, but her fight has only just begun! Now, with Onomatopoeia in tow, Selina makes her way toward the car carrying a ghost of her past, and Gotham’s as well. It’s Bruce Wayne…but is it really him? And with Talia al Ghul on board as well, will this be a long-awaited reuni...
Masked vigilantes have been deemed illegal, and the Magistrate has commandeered a bullet train to take those they’ve captured to a reformation facility-and filled the rest of the train with innocent children! Catwoman is hellbent on ensuring it never reaches its destination. Armed with a new magnetic suit, assisted by her trusty band of Strays, a...
I really enjoy these one-shots. As amazing as Ewing's run is, these side-stories are welcome change of place to the world of Immortal Hulk, as they explore stories that the main issues won't. These aren't necessary, but they offer a bit hope that there are writers who can write Hulk after Ewing's run inevitably ends (which I hope won't happen anytime soon).
ONE CREATOR. ONE HULK. ONE SUPERSTAR STORY!
Declan Shalvey writes and draws an IMMORTAL HULK tale that gets to the heart of gamma! Every morning, Bruce Banner wakes up in a new place. The Hulk is trying to tell him something - but Bruce has had enough of his green-veined alters. When a new gamma-powered villain shows up in a small New Mexico to...
It was never announced. Joe Bennett said it would end at 50 but then deleted the comment.
Sadly, Geoffrey Thorne's story was the weakest.
Outnumbered but never outwitted or outfought, John Stewart leads the last of the Green Lanterns against insurmountable odds. Facing a bloodthirsty Khund cult dedicated to the “God in Red,” the onetime Green Lantern shows that even without a ring or the Corps to back him up, he’s still a force to be reckoned with!
Plus, from the pages ...
This was perfectly fine. Not great, not bad. I would have loved to see 90s' Guy try to fix a civilization like this.
Assigned to map and contact new lifeforms past the 3,600 known sectors of space protected by the Green Lantern Corps, John Stewart and an elite team of Lanterns are trapped behind enemy lines and fighting for their lives when the Central Power Battery goes dark and leaves the entire corps defenseless. Meanwhile, across the cosmos, Green Lantern Jes...
I give it a 3 solely for Mann's art which is as great as ever, but the story was pure horseshit. Yes, the usual King fanboys will rate it with 10, 9.5 or 9 but don't believe that, they would rate it the same way if King would fill the book with "Bat", "Cat" and "Mreeeow", they're just brainwashed and want so badly to feel smart. And I've said this before, the title of the book is pure bait, Batmanmore
It’s been The Joker all along, you see.
Selina Kyle knows this. Early in her career as Catwoman, he was there to mess things up for her. Same with later, when she and Batman were finally getting together...for the third time, but still. That time stuck. No thanks to The Joker. Or to Phantasm, who now has her sights set on Catwoman because...
Okay first of all, I am a Tom King fanboy, I do admit that. I like most of his work, except HiC. Being upset about his run at all is fine with me, especially if you felt betrayed by issue 50. I think a lot of people did. I did come off as a bit hostile. My bad. I'm in the wrong. I have seen large groups of people harassing Tom King and everything he does, I may have mistaken you for that. Also again nothing wrong with disagreeing with me on his Batman.
I was only drawn to this comment because of you being mad at us who enjoy it. I think I overreacted in my initial reply.
Not to be rude to the first writer, but their story was perhaps one of the least gripping stories I have ever read. Andrea Shea's story was a lot better
Story 1 - Batwoman must go undercover in a highly secretive beauty company in order to track down a missing journalist. But what Kate discovers is far more insidious than she ever imagined! Story 2 - Since arriving on Earth, Supergirl has always followed in her cousin’s footsteps. But when she’s fired from her internship at CatCo, Kara will h...
This is great if you like your superheroes to have the characterization of valley girls, who talk like they're still on an IM while outside. Batwoman, y'know, being a serious military type, would definitely talk like that.
When a powerful alien weapon falls into the wrong hands, it will take the combined might of Batwoman and Supergirl together to save the city from the Religion of Crime!
Sixty fathoms below the ocean’s surface, a massive hatch waits to be opened...Something within wants to emerge; wants to be born; wants to rise; wants to feed. The child is coming, desperate to fill its belly-by devouring reality itself!

Daffy getting his bill blasted off (like 20 times in one issue) remains funny to this day.
Elmer Fudd is out to shoot some animals, only he's not hunting-he's working as a nature photographer for a famous magazine. But when Daffy finds out that he's more interested in capturing a photo of a "wabbit" than a certain handsome duck, Elmer's job is going to get a lot more challenging.
