It is good to have Robin and Superboy back together again as the Super Sons! Peter Tomasi does not miss a beat delivering a fun start to the new Challenge Of The Super Sons series. As with previous comics involving the Super Sons the chemistry between Damian Wayne's Robin and Jonathan Kent's Superboy is a blast to read. Max Raynor energetic art style adds to how much fun Challenge Of The Super Sons #1 is. It is all a reminder that DC Comics publishing library is stronger when they can have Robin and Superboy together in a comic book. Read Full Review
All in all this first issue of Challenge of the Super Sons is very successful in both returning readers to the delightful world of the Super Sons and introducing a brand new adventure for them to go on. While the introduction of the Doom Scroll feels a little abrupt the story is too fun to dwell on that for too long, and I am confident we'll learn everything in due time. It is a true return to everything delightful and wonderful about the Super Sons series and if you've been waiting on this book for any reason, I can confidently recommend picking it up. While I'm not sure where the series will go with its actual storyline, I'm glad to have a fun series like this focusing on these characters. We've seen them populate the spin-off non-continuity books like Injustice and DCeased but this one clearly takes place after one of the ongoing series for the characters and will factor into other events as well presumable. Peter J. Tomasi has been a favorite of mine going back probably decades with his early Green Lantern work so I'm glad to reconnect with his writing here. Max Raynor's a bit on the newer side for me in terms of familiarity but he's got the look of this book and its style down just right and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what he's bringing to the page with these characters and more. A really solid opening entry. Read Full Review

The boys are back in town ~
Finally they are back, it was such a blast to read this comic, great art and a really fun writing
Man, this book still captures the best of the DC Rebirth Superman and Super Sons sense of plain fun.
As much as I despise Damian and would love more than anything to see him die a slow painful death so violent it makes "A death in the family" look like a Disney princess movie, It was still worth it to see the Jon Kent we ALL want back for a change. What does that tell you?
This issue proves what DC overlooks. If they want to bring in a younger demographic, a comic like this is a good way to do it. Kids could relate to them. All DC would need to do was promote them. A cartoon would get kids wanting to also read the adventures of their favorite superheroes' sons. It would have worked for me as a kid. Batman's success in movies and TV 30 years ago is what got me into his comics.
Above all this shows DC would have been WAY better off more
This was fine, and had some fun moments.
Cute but nothing special.
