OK, Robin and Superboy saved THE FLASH from certain annihilation...surly the day is saved and everyone can go home and watched the masked superhero singer or whatever, right? WRONG! Once the DOOM SCROLL inscribes a name to its mystical list, the bearer of that name will be imminently killed – and the JUSTICE LEAGUE are being targeted one by one! Next up? I am truly loving this book. As always, it is the character moments that are driving this for me. And I love these sneak attacks happening against the Justice League. Read Full Review
This installment plays like the previous one in just delivering action and quips and establishing more of the character side of it for those that are newer to all of it. Read Full Review
Final Thoughts:In Challenge of the Super Sons #3 Tomasi provides a few epic moments. Besides our heroes being swallowed by a magical creature, I enjoyed seeing the duo utilize their respective skillsets. Jonathan is his fathers son through and through (he refused to kill birds with an ancient poison) while Damian embodies the brutal part of Batman. For the first time, I would not recommend picking up this issue and that is ONLY because you will need to have had read the preceding issues to understand what is taking place. Issue #3 is not a good starting place. Now, if you have been keeping up with Challenge of the Super Sons, then yes. Go ahead and pick up this issue. Read Full Review

Three issues in, and I'm still genuinely enjoying this story. It's a ton of fun, and the highlight of my month is reading more of Jon and Damian's adventures together. While part of the issue felt dragged down by a recap it didn't necessarily need, there are still more than enough laughs and delightful moments that this story is easily recommendable. If you need something light and fun, this will be sure to put a smile on your face. Read Full Review
Saving members of the Justice League from Faust's spells is only half of the work Superboy and Robin have cut out for themselves; taking down Vandal Savage is the other. Although the boys are facing two villains that usually go toe-to-toe with the Justice League, the story continues to cement itself in its humor and focus more on the dynamic between Superboy and Robin than intensifying the plot; a story I'm really enjoying. This is why Jon Kent should never have been aged, why he should be turned back and why DC's editors are idiots.
Though the plot's a bit obtuse this was still a funny issue that shows Damian at his most tolerable: When teamed up with a young Jon.
I've read better, but am fully willing to get this series and support it to prove to DC they're wrong. We don't want a younger Superman. We want the regular one and his young son.
This was cute.
