KEN: DUrso and Monti craft some amazong images for this chapter. The space robbery set-up is filled with tension. It never ecapes the readers mind of what is happening. A full page shot welcomes the thieves into the scene. This is matched with anothe rfull shot of their leader. The scene pops off as the dialogue moves into their immediate issue. Theres plenty of brutality unloading here. Careys lettering makes this panels jump off the pages. Read Full Review
Immortal Legend Batman #2continues to flesh out this bold new Elseworlds, while also showcasing that some things about Batman won't change, no matter what reality he's in. Read Full Review
Immortal Legend Batman #2 succeeds in two things. First, it fleshes out a little about who the universe's Bruce Wayne is under the cowl (do we call it that). Second, and most important, it finally sets the stage for an encounter to occur between our trio of heroes. One would think it won't all be roses. Either way, this reader is here for it. Immortal Legend Batman #2 proves this series has teeth. It's messy in places, but when it hits, it hits hard, especially in its reinvention of Bane and its bold sci-fi lens on Batman's world. If you like your Dark Knight cosmic, monstrous, and a little reckless, this issue delivers. Read Full Review
Immortal Legend Batman #2 (of 6) is a fun, stylistic action-adventure. However, it lacks the depth that diehard Batman fans might expect. Immortal Legend is also missing the character of Gotham itself, at least so far, which is a definitive element of anything titled Batman. Read Full Review
The way Kyle Higgins and Mat Groom adapt Batman's methods to being a Power Rangers-esque hero is just cool to see. The action, when we get to it, is fast paced and energetic. The only problem this issue runs into is that it takes a while to get to the fun action. Read Full Review
The first issue mostly focuses on dumping exposition, but this issue sets up a monster of the week format for the hero's adventures. Immortal Legend Batman is about a new kind of Batman in the middle of a war supposedly bigger than himself. However, it seems like the shadows are preoccupied with solely pissing Batman off. Especially if all the villains are going to be Bruce Wayne variants. The other heroes in the backups feel tacked on and don't seem to have a worthwhile B-plot to focus on. Personally, one big negative is how this Batman ineffectively assesses the situation and allows people to die so he can have his pointless undercover story. As a result, it feels as if the character is indulging some kind of hero fantasy at everyone else's expense. Overall, it reads better than the first issue, but has yet to establish an engaging storyline. Read Full Review
this was okay. it was still a bit confusing to follow and understand the story.
If you're reading this review, you're wondering if its better or worst then the first issue. Well the start is better, clear, fun and then they fuck it up (again, haha).
I'm agreeing that this comic is -Love it or hate it. Where are you? Go find out
Immortal Legend Batman #2 was 100% NOT written for readers with my sensibilities. There is very little character depth and the story just sort of happens. Innocent people die and Bruce/Batman sits and does nothing … this is the “hero” of the story? All flash and very little substance. I have no idea (outside of sales) why this character is named Batman … he hardly resembles any other version of the character … and this time he has a special-bat-sense … WHY? I’m out with this issue.
