Then there's a wild twist at the end that changes up your perspective on a key character and how the story will revolve around them moving forward, once again shaking up any preconceived notions of what this series will ultimately be. That's a hallmark of the Massive-Verse, Power Rangers, and Superman as well, so it shouldn't really be a surprise that it works so well here as well. If you're looking for something that captures the imagination and mixes in concepts from some of your favorite franchises, look no further than Immortal Legend Batman. Read Full Review

Overall, Immortal Legend Batman #1 is a good read for those who are looking for different features with Batman in a new light. Its also a good starting point, as the story doesnt require a fan to backlog events to catch up. Instead, the story starts with a fresh introduction and a problem a hero must face. If youd like to read about this comic book, be sure to pick it up from your local comic book store or online, where copies are sold. Read Full Review

Immortal Legend Batman #1 is an interesting start. It's a comic that my thoughts evolved over time as the comic itself morphed throughout. What seemed like a simple Western ends as something more and a bit different. It's a solid direction and concept and one I want to see more of. Overall, it's a debut that's full of surprises and twists and a story that goes in unexpected directions. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Tyler Davis Aug 27, 2025

While a total blender of ideas that fit with a puzzling degree of force,Immortal Legend Batman #1is still an incredibly fun ride that lives and dies by the rule of cool. Erica D'Urso steals the show with her pencils and Igor Monti breathes living colors into pages, a duo whose work creates an unrivaled sense of life in this genre-confused take on the Batman mythos. KPB Comics - Aun Haider Aug 27, 2025

Immortal Legend Batman #1 is an ambitious, weird, and visually striking Elseworlds debut. It mashes up Batman with sci-fi, anime, and Tokusatsu energy in a way we haven't really seen before. Sure, the lore can be clunky and Batman himself isn't the easiest to like here, but there's enough mystery and spectacle to keep readers hooked for issue #2. If you're into toku, space operas, or just want to see Batman in a totally new light, this is worth a look, even if it stumbles along the way. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Aaron Ray Jr. Aug 27, 2025

Arguably, as first stories go, this isn't the best way to introduce your brand new Batman. For one, the writers characterize this hero unfavorably through most of the story, only to soften the depiction when convenient. Secondly, the execution of the exposition dump and the inclusion of late stage implications about Batman's past is poor. What works is the action, some of the references, and parts of the world building. Even if that means letting go of the simple but thoughtless naming conventions of the Immortal Legends. Yet, despite the stumbles, this could be a fairly fun new world with a more engaging story next issue. Read Full Review

Solid first issue, the writing and art are really good. This was a standard first issue setting up the characters and world, but it seems like an ambitious world it's setting up. It's a good start and if they can live up to the potential then it'll be great. But I've seen good starts like this fall off quickly. We'll see how it goes, fingers crossed.

while the batman fatigue is slowly setting in, I am still intrigued and excited for this series. The art and action are really solid.

Plenty of action and bat lore to keep bat fans excited with a nice sci-fi twist and plenty of mystery to keep readers coming back for future issues. The art is too anime inspired for my taste and it even goes so far as to have Bats call out the name of his move as he does it lol but it's something I can tolerate. Overall a good book but best suited for uber bat fans pull lists.

Immortal Legend Batman #1 was weird and fun, but not super original - it’s set on a “frontier” mining planet in space - shades of FireFly … but with Space-Batman. It might have been better if it was its own thing instead of an “Elseworld Batman”. The writing is tight, cover is beautiful, interiors are good but just a little inconsistent.

I would recommend it … as an oddity.

But I have to ask … what is a “Bat Press”???

I don't get it from the start until the end. Imo I wanted the history first and then the story, but now I felt like reading something I don't get and I was catching up on something I missed...?

Maybe this series is not for me, it happens.
