Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles

Lemire and the creative team are really making the case that this Year One storyline doesnt need to be rushed at all. Watching this interpretation of the JSAs founding is an ideal mix of respecting the legacy while writing the characters in a manner thats appealing to new fans as well. Read Full Review

Overall, just about everyone here is slowly uncovering parts of a much bigger whole, with a twist towards the end that hints at just how big the stakes are getting. It's an intriguing look back at an era of the heroes that most people have never read about. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

There have been a lot of attempts to redefine the 1940s for the DC comics. It might be the one decade that has had more of a lasting and lingering presence on a comic book page than any other so it's not like these characters from this particular era I haven't been explored 1 million times before. But what's really nice about this particular rendering is that it does focus in on the characters and a bear interactions and the way they interact with each other. It's a very satisfying look back at the golden age. Read Full Review

Halfway through and I am still not sure where this is going, but at least the art is good and the characters are well portrayed. But the joke is on Blue Beetle thinking he's a magic user.

I'm sure somewhere they made Hypolita begin part of the JSA lore, but that destroys WW cannon where she was the first to go to man's world. I'd much rather see the new JSA, this going back to year one just isn't working for me. I'm not sure I'll be continuing this title much further. My Review Channel - https://youtu.be/EJEBKE8VljE
