Lobo #3
| Writer | Skottie Young |
| Artist | Jorge Corona, Nicoletta Baldari |
| Cover Price | $3.99 |
Show business and Lobo had concussive creative differences, so he and Dawg are back to bounty hunting! But the trade’s been…professionalized since the universe’s premier entertainment corporation took over, and Lobo has to get relicensed, which means a psych eval with an alien empath. Bad news for them, good news for Czarnian history buffs, who’ll get a new peek at the twilight of the civilization (a.k.a. Lobo’s childhood) and the first appearance of a heretofore unknown Green Lantern!

Comic Watch - Chad Burdette
May 26, 2026Lobo #3 is a nice break from the first two issues which were hardcore old-school Lobo, while maintaining the humor and crassness that is expected from the character and title. Read Full Review

May 20, 2026Lobo #3 continues the exciting comic run about the Main Man, written by Skottie Young. The best way to describe this series is “fun”. It’s a good time, a fun read, and I’m very excited to see what’s next for the Main Man. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
May 23, 2026This is played pretty broadly, with a lot of ultraviolence mixed with candy-colored chibi art in places, and it’s perfectly suited to this strange, hilarious series. Read Full Review

Fanlight Zone - Ken M.
May 20, 2026Lobo’s attempt at a psych exam leads to nothing but evil trouble inside this fun tale. Young’s writing showcases the young Czarnian’s rampage. Corona & Baldari each give the Main Man distinct images, bringing out the best of his worst. This is everything fans could possibly want from a Lobo series! Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Abel Loza
May 28, 2026While Lobo has been an up-and-down affair, as far as storytelling goes, Lobo #3 seems to be the unofficial start of the official story. With Supergirl around the corner, Lobo is set to ramp up right in time for the summer. Read Full Review

I was a little let down to find out that the issue wasn't entirely drawn by Jorge Corona, instead they go into some flashback that switches artist...and the art is like this over simplified style that I dislike and sad part is that it goes on for most of the issue. Felt a bit like a filler issue...I hope it goes back to the gritty Corona style for the next one. I am enjoying the funny and biting style of this comic. I hope next issue is better than this one which felt a bit like a "filler".

Very unfortunate that this is my least favorite issue thus far. It’s still good and fun, but the flashback and the length of it felt rather unnecessary. Baldari’s interiors were nice here, though they were a bit jarring after a few pages of Corona’s work. Maybe it would have landed better had we just started with Baldari, but, even then, there’s such a hard contrast between their, respective styles.

I don’t know how it seems like the book doesn’t know what to do with itself yet also feel try-hard.
