Lobo #2 succeeds because it understands that you can’t committee a force of nature. He might have left with nothing, but he’s finally himself again, proving that while you can put the Main Man in a unitard, you can’t make him stay in it.< Read Full Review

That’s the thing about this title and most of Young’s work in general – it’s best understood as a comedy and a bit of a parody. This is his first attempt to write a comic in the main line of the DCU, and because of that, it’s going to be a bit rough when it comes to characterization in places. But despite that, it’s a really funny take on Lobo with some fantastic action, and any fans of I Hate Fairyland will continue to have a great time. Read Full Review

Lobo #2 continues to be a bloody and beautiful piece of storytelling and art which was promised by this and other Next Level titles spotlighting these fan favorite characters. Read Full Review

Lobo #2 even pulls off a crossover/guest star moment with a delightful caricature of a famous, but not too famous DC hero. I can’t wait to see what comes out of Lobo’s mouth next or his latest fit. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

    Apr 15, 2026

Lobo #2 doubles down on absurdity while sneaking in pointed commentary about corporate influence on creativity. Skottie Young finds the humor in forcing a character like Lobo into a sanitized, marketable box, and the result is a string of chaotic set pieces that rarely miss. Jorge Corona’s expressive, animated style enhances the comedy and keeps the energy high from start to finish. The final pages stumble a bit with over-explanation and a weaker hook, but the issue still lands as a fun, biting continuation that proves Lobo works best when he refuses to play along. The Main Man takes on Reality TV to many absurd levels in another fun chapter. Young’s writing unleashes many sides of Lobo onto the readers. Corona & Beaulieu bring out all the stops fitting for the galaxy’s new “streaming star”. Loud Action, Huge crude humor, this is everything you could want from a Lobo series Read Full Review

Lobo #2 takes a dig at the entertainment industry in the name of those with creative freedom. While a lot of the jokes will hit you over the head with their lack of subtlety, there are enough creative and new ideas that readers will continue to come back on a monthly basis. The Emperor Aquaman crossover was unexpected but one of the issue's highlights. The art and story go hand in hand to create this unexpectedly beautiful universe. There is still a lot to be determined, and hopefully the rest of the run goes smoothly, but Lobo #2 2 was thoroughly entertaining. Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez

Lobo #2 ends the current adventure of the Main Man as an erstwhile reality star. As you can expect, he didn't like it very much. Skottie Young’s dialogue and delivery are punchy enough, but the jabs at corporate oversight get excessive. That said, Jorge Corona saves the issue with fantastically bombastic art to match the character. Read Full Review

Well, we are 2 issues into this series and Scottie ran out of almost all his jokes and new ideas for Lobo. We now have to resort to tired old lines attacking Disney , marvel and corp America. so very original. Sigh. The battle with Aquaman had some amusing parts so it shows Scottie can be a capable writer if he ventures into the ridiculous which is where Lobo thrives. Instead it's the typical and the title suffers as a result. so very mid.
