Overall I would pick this up cause the Red Hood series is really starting to get good and I wouldn't want a Red Hood fan to miss a issue.Even with a few hiccups here and there It's got my interest and I'm glad I stayed with the series. Read Full Review

    DC Comics News - Oscar Bergeron-Oakes Dec 19, 2013

The issue has several successes that will hopefully lead up to a fulfilling finale to Tynions story arc. An emotional, exciting story mixed with mediocre art ends up being a pretty darn good comic. Read Full Review

    Herotaku - Jamal Melancon Dec 18, 2013

James Tynion IV's consistency builds up to an awesome, climatic moment for his run in Red Hood and The Outlaws, while Julius Gopez finally delivers some above average art for his final issue. Even though Ra's Al Ghul wasn't used to his full potential and could even have seemed lame at times, the real Jason Todd definitely saved and stole the show. The truth of his trickery and why he might lose his fight against Ra's is coming up; the hype train is not slowing down. Read Full Review

Two words: flaming swords. You gotta love when an issue ends with flaming swords. I feel this arc is nearing its endgame, and I have to admit: I'm pretty pumped for it. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Eric Shea Dec 19, 2013

This issue is really taking a step into the right direction, by moving us towards the end of this story.  I've been really tired of seeing The Outlaws, and the Amnesiatic Guy, now we get our anti-hero back, and I'm finally excited to see what's going to happen.  But that being said, a lot of the other bits of this story seemed to be lacking just to give us our payoff with Jason.  Not a perfect book, but I keep reading so that has to say something.  So for everyone that has felt this title lacking in the past few months, come take a look, and dive back into the world of Red Hood and The Outlaws. Batman-News - Sean Buckley Jun 22, 2014

There's strong artwork here, and the story is noticeably moved on past the muck that's held the series back the past dozen issues or so. Jason Todd's story has gone so far off-base and has just dived head-first into insanity that the best I can see happening is that this arc ends soon and with a finality that allows Jason to move on to better things. Razorfine - Alan Rapp Dec 21, 2013

The issue ends with the Red Hood and the Outlaws doing a pretty good job of holding their own against the League including the Red Hood fighting Bronze Tiger to a standstill. But should Todd be victorious (which seems likely as the comic has solicitations for the next several months) I'd like to see the character given a chance to spread his wings without the baggage of the All-Caste or the Outlaws to weigh him down. For fans. Read Full Review

A much better story from the rest of this arc and the coloring definitely stood out the most to me which made it a lot easier on the eyes. The artwork was shakey a lot which was a bit of a turn off. Next month is the end of this arc and it seems like Tynion has something big in store, I for one am very excited. Read Full Review

Gotham Spoilers - Gotham Spoilers Dec 18, 2013

I think this story has just turned me off to the idea of having some mystic element in Jason's past, it's just not working, and this issue goes real heavy on those tropes. Okay, Jason's the chosen one... why? What is this? What's the point of it all? Up until this point, there's no real indication of why any of this is happening. Sure, Jason does mention this was "all part of the plan" but that just leads me to expect a very deus ex machina plot explanation next issue. Mix that one big trope I'm completely tired of, the less-than-steallar art, the overdone/annoying melodrama, and a not a great Ra's al Ghul, and you get a pretty disappointing issue. The one thing I like about this issue, is the fact that this very drawn out arc is coming to a close soon. Read Full Review
