Shazam #3 continues to show how great a handle Tim Sheridan has on the character of Billy Batson. Geoff Johns did much to give new life to the character during the New 52, but that reimagination left some rough edges. And Sheridan is doing an exemplary job of smoothing them out. DC should really consider giving Sheridan an ongoing Shazam title. Read Full Review

It's funny, I'll never stop wanting a Shazam! book and am angry every time one ends but I guess it's a case of "Be careful what you wish for" because while I currently have one, it's not something I'm really invested in and each issue feels like it's only using Captain Marvel buzz words because nothing really feels like it's fleshed out and the characters feel off and that continues here but thankfully we have an interesting cliffhanger and some amazing art throughout... I just wish the rest of the book felt as strong as these elements. Read Full Review
We're nearing the end of this new Shazam miniseries and it has been a confusing, yet oddly entertaining journey thus far. I don't know how they're going to wrap this up, especially considering how this issue ends, but I'm at least semi excited to see if they stick the landing!
