The art is stunning. Kit Seaton has beautiful characters. Everything completely draws you into the story. The entire book is colored in shades of blue. When the boat appeared the red flames were so intense against all of the shades of blue. Colorist, Sara Woolley uses this throughout the entire book. While most of the story is just shades of blue, every once in awhile a contrast color is used to accent what is going on. It creates a dramatic effect that I loved. Read Full Review

Overall, this is a pretty good one, though I hope we move past "Carnage Infection" soon. We need a new plot device for a Venom story in the near future. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Jan 8, 2020

The quality in this book is top-notch, but adapting a novel into a comic book is always tricky and this one reads like it might be best served in its original format where Bardugo can flesh out her characters more fully. Read Full Review

Final Verdict:4 stars out of 5. This is as much a story about Alia Keralis as it is Diana, but Complex relationship of Diana and her mother truly outshines everything else and we need more of that, and more of Alia . Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - Maia Rose Jan 7, 2020

Honestly the biggest disappointment withWonder Woman: Warbringer is that after this we don't get to spend more time with the characters introduced. Diana's destiny is to grow into the Wonder Woman of DC fame and in doing so that means she must return to Themysicira in order to leave again on her adult journey. It feels like a bit of a tease giving us these great diverse characters and then taking them away but it's worth it to have this time with them. Read Full Review

    Nerdly - Dean Fuller Jan 17, 2020

Not for everyone, as it's not pure superhero stuff, but if you like to see alternate takes on characters, and writers having fun with mythology and teen characters, this'll do the trick. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Rory Wilding Jan 7, 2020

As the first of the DC Icons novels to be converted as a comic book, Warbringer is an okay adventure that tells Wonder Woman's well-established origin in the confines of a YA narrative. Read Full Review
