Grad student Devin Toulson is writing his dream thesis on Myths in American History, but when his research takes him on a journey reaching back centuries, Devin finds something horrifying. Something that crosses cultures, locations, and eras. Something that returns for a bloody feeding every 23 years. Will this young man's investigation uncover simply an urban legend or will he come face to face with an immortal monster that has terrorized humanity from the shadows since man first walked the country?
Not enough of the book's creature, but a story must be started before it can be unleashed. I'm confident that Andreyko will deliver with the story. The visuals of this book are a definite high point. Keep your eyes wide open to see what horrors await! Read Full Review
A good first issue that sets things up well. Read Full Review
I'm not sure whose decision it was to have the Creeper talk or add his potential origin. It very well may not be the core creative team, so I don't want to blame them, but this hurts the book for me. Still, it's not just me and hardcore Jeepers Creepers fans who this book or this review are written for. Many readers will likely enjoy issue #1, and I have no doubt the fun will ramp up as the series gets going. Read Full Review
Out of 5 stars I give it a 3.5 . I definitely cant wait for issue #2 whenever it comes out. So, if youre a Jeepers Creepers enthusiast or horror fan I would recommend picking up a copy. Luckily it comes with 6 covers. The Regular Cover A is by Kelley Jones; there is a BLANK AUTHENTIX editon; the Cover B is by Kewber Baal; the cover C is a Photo variant; the cover D is a virgin variant by Kelley Jones (1:10); the cover E is a black and White by Kewber Baal (1:20); and the most scarce will definitely be the cover F by Kelley Jones Black and White 1:25). Either way most of them look really good. Read Full Review
Jeepers Creepers #1 isn't perfect, but it's entertaining and shows great potential. Fans of the film franchise have a lot to enjoy and look forward to and fans of Horror comic books, there's something here for you too. Read Full Review
With a small insight into the Creeper's past and an interesting but incidental setup, this comic will be enjoyable for fans of the series. However, and I may be nitpicking, the Creeper's choice of words at the end did not seem to fit the predator's persona. With that said, time will tell if the creators are able to deliver a frightening tale while not losing sight of the Creeper's characteristics. Read Full Review
The series has potential, though there's not much to sink our teeth into just yet. Read Full Review
Overall, there isn’t much to this first issue to love but there isn’t much to hate either. It is also hard to tell if this will get better or worse as time goes on. I enjoy the small amount of scenes with the Creeper in this issue but am a little bored with the rest of it. The team working on this series has the talent to make a great comic book, but I’m not sure if the subject matter is still interesting enough for a whole comic book series. Read Full Review
