When issue one came out, and there was a Neil Adams Variant cover, people knew this was going to be either the promised "crossover event of 2015" or a major bust. Fortunately for all of us, the haters got it wrong. This has been a fantastic crossover, well-written and well illustrated by great storytellers who gave a lot of care and concern to the high expectations of two different sets of fans. Mike Johnson ends his great crossover with a quick, but still satisfying conclusion. If you like either franchise, you will easily find something to like here and may find yourself becoming a fan of both. Star Trek / Green Lantern: The Spectrum War ends with a bang, albeit one that seems a bit rushed and which would have benefited by getting a plus sized issue. Mike Johnson provides a rewarding conclusion which doesn't end with a giant reset button, instead setting the stage for a hopeful sequel in a new universe where starships and people with power rings now coexist. I wasn't under the impression that anyone could simply suck the rings off of chosen bearers from light-years away, the Green Lantern aspect of this is playing loose with the rules. And Kirk would clearly get a green ring if one were available, it's not difficult to guess what colour he'd be despite the comments of the Star Trek crew. Overall, this is an entertaining but somewhat rushed and inconsistent ending.
