City Fall has been a spectacular event that has really shaken up the Turtles status quo. Things are changing and shifting, and the shockwaves from the fallout are going to be effecting things for a while to come. Such an amazing and explosive end to the ‘City Fall' arc, I couldn't have asked for anything better to please my inner child. Whether or not you are or were a Ninja Turtle fan, this series is definitely a great getaway from the super hero caped norm of DC and Marvel. While many of those stories are available through reprints, IDW has taken a smart step in bringing Kevin Eastman back onto the series as a co-writer and artist. It was great last issue the big reveal of Bebop and Rocksteady, but seeing them in full action and actually winning was even better. It brings back all those fond memories of the '80s cartoon that this book is so good at invoking. Read Full Review
About the only part of the story that doesn't make sense is one that should have added a great deal to it. Remember what I said about the Bebop and Rocksteady stand alone issue establishing a perfect tone for the duo in this universe? That's exactly what the villain microseries was meant do: Give you added layers and insights into the characters. But not everyone reads those books (even though they are making a huge mistake by passing them up). If you are one of those very sad and misguided people, then Alopex's actions at one point in the issue may cause you to have a brain aneurysm. There is one very small hint about what the fox will do from the previous issue, but her actions and their motivations feel like completely come out of nowhere"unless you've read the character's excellent microseries issue. Overall, City Fall was a great story and it ended at the perfect time. Each story has dug deeper into the world and continues to have characters from early issues play a role in the story. The way Leo was saved seemed a bit to perfect, hopefully he strugges with what happened to him for sometime and really distrusts his family to add a layer of conflict going forward. Read Full Review

The damage has been done and the turtles walking away kicking their wounds and heading to the cabin brings back good vibes from the first film. Bebop and Rocksteady do not disappoint. I felt Leo should have gone through a bit more like actually killing someone. I found his journey to be a bit shallow in comparison to how shook he is. Still good stuff. Somehow thru it all I think Shredder bonding with his granddaughter was my favorite part.
