For 12 issues, the Ninja Turtles have faced challenge after challenge as they've been ripped apart, accused of murder, and put on trial as New York City's greatest villains. The fight to clear their names and at last heal their family comes down to this, as nothing stands between the Turtles and their freedom...except a threat unlike anything they've ever faced.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12 sticks the landing on this final issue, in an era of final issues, and shows finishing on less than great endings. The issue is jam packed with action and heart just like this entire run has been built on. At the same time this book was a fitting end to the Aaron/Ferreyra run, it also serves as a great leaping off point for the next era, with in my opinion the biggest surprise final page of the year. On October 22nd you need to hurry to your LCS and pick up multiple copies of this epic issue! Read Full Review

TMNT 12 wraps one of the best yearlong creative runs of the heroes in a half shell in a while. This has been a sensational stint that Turtle fans who missed out on initially should absolutely check out in collected form. Read Full Review

Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreyra held nothing back with how they ended their creative run with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12. The action was kick ass with Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo showing the strength of fighting as a family. The rewarding action made the developments it led to create even greater interest for what is to come with this series. Read Full Review

It all comes down to this, as the Turtles bring the fight straight to the foe that has plagued them for all these months. A well-crafted, albeit bumpy, conclusion to the story that rests well on the artistic endeavor even as it swings and misses in a few respects. Read Full Review

Here we are again with another great arc of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Another outstanding creative has left us with chill bumps and watery eyes at times, but never let us down. Regardless of when or how much you have read of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, you would be doing yourself a disservice to not add this run to your TBR list! Read Full Review

Good issue and I've enjoyed Aaron's run but it's disappointing that all he basically did was create inner family turmoil (that lasted far too long in my opinion) to just fix things back to where they were and leave.

Definitely a stronger first half in this 12 issue run, by Jason Aaron, who I think got repetitive and wonky especially with the court room drama and conclusion. The arts what really caught me by surprise, not my typical cup of tea but Juan Ferreyra carried the story for me. Very dynamic and entertaining to gaze upon.
