  G.I. Joe #26 wasted no time in continuing the momentum created by the opening chapter of the Night Force story arc. There was no time to waste as the Joes had to protect Baroness from those hunting her. The problem for the Joes is that they are fighting those as equally skilled as them in the Night Force. The additional sub-plots sprinkled in throughout this issue create even greater intrigue as to what other developments will happen in future issues of this series. Read Full Review

  G.I. Joe #26 is an all-action issue that works very well, as Joe battles Joe while Cobra grows in strength. There are plenty of smart matchups here, and the kinetic artwork makes it all look good—but the colors are a little too dark at times and end up blacking out some of the finer details.   The Energon Universe aspect of the series really seems to have come of age by the time of this issue. For a certain end of Generation Xhere is something undeniably cool about one of the Joes telling Hound to transform and roll out in order to protect the Baroness. The one that could always have imagined infusion between the Transformers and G.I. Joe universe. It's kind of cold to see it actually executed in a way that seems as perfectly integrated as it is. The fact that the stories are being executed with a kind of sophistication that the companies are more modern style of storytelling is just extra. Read Full Review
