There always need to be a reminder that Sean Phillips and Elizabeth Breitweiser deserve so much credit for breathing life into this story. Each comic from Fatale to The Fade Out, and now Kill or Be Killed has been a fresh start for the team. The comic covers a great deal of ground from crime scenes, to overseas war zones, and all the way back to places weve seen before we had context for what was happening. When you have a comic this gorgeously rendered, youll be sucked in by the art alone. At this point, the end is almost here for Kill or Be Killed, its high time to jump in just before the tidal wave crashes at the end. Read Full Review
Kill or Be Killed has been a consistently great and entertaining series. Whether it's Ed Brubaker's script or Sean Phillips and Elizabeth Breitweiser's art. But for several reasons Kill or Be Killed #18 fails to live up to the series' lofty standards. After reading this i must say in hind sight its insanely predictable, but since the whole series has been throwing turns I didn't quite expect that. Even though it's pretty straightforward, it's wonderfully written and the art is always fantastic. I know there are only two issues left, but this is going to pick up some serious steam before it ends.
Another great issue of "Kill or Be Killed." This one is measured in pace for sure, but definitely amps up the storyline in that our Detective sharp has singled her focus on Dylan as the true culprit. I liked the character, but perhaps Sean Phillips goes overboard on her arching her eyebrows in a curious Spockian way? Other than this, the issue looked spectacular, and the case of the imitation killer is really interesting to me as well. I really liked it.
