No matter how fast you run, sooner or later your past will catch up with you. Enter Becky Kumar, a geeky twenty-year-old from New York City who is about to cross the veil between our reality and a realm of otherworldly truths. From writer and RPG creator MARCO B. BUCCI (Magna Veritas, Memento Mori) and artist JACOPO CAMAGNI (X-Men Blue, Deadpool The Duck) comes a tale of tales, witchcraft, and secrets for mature readers that rewires the rules of urban fantasy. #doyouwannaknowasecret
A fifteen-part series focussing on magic that is itself an exercise in a kind of group magic, Nomen Omen is a very ambitious, little project. Given the very intricately-balanced nature of the first series and the thoughtful way that its been placed on the page, Nomen Omen might turn out to be one of the more accomplished series to come out in 2019/2020. Its certainly on track to do so in its opening chapter. Read Full Review

They've already been through quite a lot, so do they really need more bloodshed? Nomen Omen is the urban fantasy series I didn't know I wanted. Read Full Review
The stakes are high and the mystery is deep in Nomen Omen. Magic is at play here and death may be denied, but not for long. An interesting beginning for a story that looks like it could go anywhere. Read Full Review

The first issue is quite interesting, though I'm not entirely sure what is going on (other than witchcraft) and I probably won't until the first arc finishes because it seems to be by design. The artwork is good and makes sensible use of color (or lack thereof). It's too early for me to make a call on this story, but the creators seem pretty dedicated to the lore.
