NEW STORY ARC
It’s 1909, and Simon Pure has traded gunpowder and glory for quiet days and a clock-punching job. But something—or someone—will drag the immortal redcoat back into adventure. What threats loom? And which old friend has come knocking to reignite the fire?
The past is never dead. And Simon Pure is about to be reminded why.
Redcoat #15 slows down the story and allows a moment of bliss for our beloved anti-hero, Simon. It's an issue full of joy and hope and overdue reunions with a very important cliff-hanger on the final page. This is the comic I needed this week. Read Full Review
Redcoat 15 is a stage setting issue, but with this drastic change to Simons status quo, its a compelling read as it seems like this happiness cant possibly last. Until then, its a refreshing shift from Simons usual chaotic misadventures. Read Full Review
The authenticity and the genuineness of the emotion feels infectious. Anyone with a modern view of history is going to know that there were people who are suffering like you would not believe just outside of the center of the panel. This was a feel-good issue. Just an enjoyable little slice of life intro to Simon's "happy" phase. I enjoyed this one a lot.
It's only a good issue if you've read everything up to this point.
Not the most exciting issue of Redcoat, but definitely a twist I didn't expect.
Not much is going on, but at the same time a lot going on. A lot of set up. And damn, this is the calm before the storm. Looking forward to the next issue.
