Nerd Initiative - Matthew Roth
Nov 12, 2025Redcoat #15 slows down the story and allows a moment of bliss for our beloved anti-hero, Simon. It's an issue full of joy and hope and overdue reunions with a very important cliff-hanger on the final page. This is the comic I needed this week. Read Full Review

Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles
Nov 12, 2025Redcoat 15 is a stage setting issue, but with this drastic change to Simons status quo, its a compelling read as it seems like this happiness cant possibly last. Until then, its a refreshing shift from Simons usual chaotic misadventures. Read Full Review

Comic Book Clique - Jack Richardson
Nov 18, 2025I think Redcoat issue 15 is probably tied as the best issue in the series so far, tied with the exceptional issue 7. Although a relatively relaxed and breezy issue, feeling more like a resting point to catch our breath and revel in the mundane for a short while, it also manages to deliver heavy emotional weight and payoff to readers who have followed the story so far, while also hinting at the future and not revealing too much of its deck. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Nov 11, 2025The authenticity and the genuineness of the emotion feels infectious. Anyone with a modern view of history is going to know that there were people who are suffering like you would not believe just outside of the center of the panel. But that's not really where the center of the story lies. This is a story of heroes of history. And so it's going to have more of a heroic note to it. It's going to sanitize things just a little bit. And that's perfectly OK because it's totally consistent with what they're bringing to the page. It's just almost a little too nice to feel totally comfortable. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez
Nov 13, 2025REDCOAT #15 trades glory for aprons smartly enough to snag your shelf space amid the stack, but only if you bet on the slow stitch paying off in bloodier threads ahead. It earns the spot for folks chasing history's bite with family glue, yet skips the must-buy crown until the past claws deeper than a bedtime story. Read Full Review

COMICON - Olly MacNamee
Jan 21, 2026‘Redcoat’ #15 starts with a flashy but false promise of action and adventure, but quickly turns into another dull issue, with the biggest action being a suit fitting at the tailor’s Simon Pure works for. I kid you not. Read Full Review

This was a feel-good issue. Just an enjoyable little slice of life intro to Simon's "happy" phase. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Not much is going on, but at the same time a lot going on. A lot of set up. And damn, this is the calm before the storm. Looking forward to the next issue.

Not the most exciting issue of Redcoat, but definitely a twist I didn't expect.
