It’s literally a whole new world of head-lopping action in this issue as things really start to open up—and all the broken pieces come together. Finally, we’re bringing you the origin of Rathraq! And, in a way, the origin of everybody else, too.

RUMBLE #3 takes a small break from moving the story forward so we can better understand and appreciate everything that's going on. I know we're only 3 issues in, but the first two have been loaded with worldbuilding and mysterious plot lines, so briefly taking a step back to give us all of the mandatory information was a necessary step. Thankfully, it didn't feel like hitting "pause" on the story and told us mostly everything we need to know in a fun, fascinating, and exciting way. It offers a ton of information but it doesn't feel like an info dump. There's a whole lot of imagination and just enough personality, humor and action thrown in there, too. So, let's get ready to read more RUMBLE. Sorry, couldn't resist that one. But seriously, this is a title that deserves your attention. Read Full Review

Now that we know the reason behind Rathraq's initiative, the series' motif has shifted from "there are some pretty bad-ass things going on here and it's pretty cool but I have no idea why," to "I see you Rathraq. Do the damn thing." Excellent stuff. Read Full Review

Comics: The Gathering - Forrest Hollingsworth Feb 18, 2015

This is a good, complex and fun issue that introduces a lot of new and refreshing elements to the previously cryptic story. It’s Rumble’s best, by far. Different from the two previous issues in the right ways but still holding true to the tone established in those, it’s an issue that finally hints at what these creators are going for. If they keep it up this way, Rathraq may become a character people remember for a long time. Read Full Review

    Comic Spectrum - R.C. Killian Feb 21, 2015

Rumble #1 was one of my favorite story/character debuts in the past year, and the third issue doesn't relent on the promise it showed. It's a joy to see Arcudi and Harren running wild and boundless in their sense of action and adventure, even when they proceed to deflate them to just the right degree with their sense of humor. I continue to look forward to what happens with Rathraq, Del, and Bobby"and especially Mr. Bildad (I have my theories, but I shall keep them to myself!) Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Matthew Tupper Feb 20, 2015

It was a littledifficult to explain why this comic wasso compelling after Issues #1 and #2. There was a lot happening in the first issues, but so little context that the reader had to rely on the art and promise of what could become a great fantasy story. Issue #3 starts the process of fleshing out the Rumble universe, and makes it a little easier to tell others whyRumble is such a good comic. Read Full Review
