The end of Fandemonium. The end of Ragnarock. The end of the arc. The start of something else. Everything's going to be okay.
Considering how much the events of this issue are playing on my mind, and how little I can tell you to avoid spreading spoilers, I will insist on giving this issue a perfect 5/5 score, so that even if I cant exactly tell you why, you will know this comic is absolutely worth your purchase this week. WicDiv is not a book for everybody and that is perfectly fine. Those of us who have bought in fully into this story and have come to cherish these characters as if they were living, authentic people in our lives are going to be emotionally wounded by this issue. That is to the credit of Gillen, McKelvie, and Wilson that they created something so fully realized with a lore that is true to itself that the fans were open to this sort of punishment without ever realizing it was even on the table. Indeed, though I thought about it, I won't rage-quit this book. It's just too good on every level and the fact that I was so effected by the story that I had to stop and process myself emotionally what I just read just proves that is the right decision. There are a hundred more questions now, and they don't appear to be getting answered soon, as McKelvie is taking a break for the next arc to draw the third volume of Phonogram, and a series of guest artists will be coming on to tackle what appear to be individual character-studies on various of the gods. What's going to happen next? How can this comic even go on without Laura? What the hell is Ananke's game? We might be waiting to find out, but in the meantime, The Wicked + The Divine have given us a truly brilliant issue that won't be forgotten any time soon. Read Full Review

The twists and turns of most memorable fiction have always consisted of deaths great and small, as has the modern music world. With a story as steeped in ancient mythology (and in the modern mythology of pop music) as Wicked + Divine is, it's hard to stay surprised when the creators pull all the dramatic stops like this " upsetting as they may be. It makes for a richer story, all-told, and for an extraordinarily compelling comic. (Well, once we get past that Acceptance stage, at least.) Here's to Laura. Read Full Review
This creative team has been killing it on this series since it started, and Gillen and McKelvie have raised high expectations for the rest of this series. Read Full Review
Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie again manage to surprise, toeing the line of expectation once more before thumbing their noses and leaping off it entirely. Read Full Review
Okay, yeah,The Wicked + The Divine is amazing. This issue leaves us with a strong WTF feeling, but that's okay. Gillen will make it all better, right? Everything is going to be okay and we'll all be one, big, happy Godly family… that will die in approximately two years time. Okay, forget that last part. The second trade forWicDiv is out next month, so it's high time you caught up. Being late to the party and being able to readWicDivin a large chunk was a delight,so for those who have yet to experience it, you're in for a treat. Until then, the wait for issue twelve will be excruciating. Damn you, Gillen. Read Full Review
I'm glad that even though this arc has come to a close that the next issue is just a month away. Now that all the pieces are in place, and a few of our main characters have blood on their hands and faces, I think Gillen, McKlevie and company are really gonna start having fun with it. Oh boy.
