"ENEMY OF THE STATE II" CONTINUES: WOLVERINE ON THE RUN!
• The TRIGGER SCENT! A tragic event! A vow broken?
• LAURA KINNEY: Wanted for MURDER!!!
• Guest-starring NICK FURY!
Rated T+
All-New Wolverine #14 is a solid second chapter to Enemy of the State II. Tom Taylor pushes Laura Kinney's latest adventure forward as she now heads to Madripoor with Gabby to learn who has been sending her Trigger Scent. Taylor was also able to bring in additional players to the table as we see SHIELD and Bellona, one of Laura's clones, get involved in the larger story. Nik Virella does a good job enhancing Taylor's story with how she conveys the various emotions Wolverine and other characters have throughout the issue. This all combines to create further excitement for what is going to happen next in Enemy of the State II. Read Full Review
I have loved everything that Tom Taylor has given us in All-New Wolverine, but this issue is the exception to the rule. It's all setup to get Laura to Madripoor and while that seems exciting and very personal, that is a story for another issue. Unfortunately, I can't give this issue high marks. Read Full Review
This issue is nothing amazing but if you are a fan of Wolverine and are already following the series you might enjoy it. This wouldn't be my first pick for the week. But if you have some extra money and are curious about All-New Wolverine, pick it up and hopefully it will find it's groove again soon. Read Full Review
Another pretty good issue but Enemy of the State II is nowhere close to as good as the Mark Miller original. Gabby is great
The story itself is moving along. Slow burner rather than explosive, but there's a few pieces that need to be moved into place, which this issue achieves. If there's a weakness it's the artwork. Virella feels like a pretty significant step back from Lopez, Takara, and Guarra, and it continues to frustrate that the book can't find a permanent art team.
Gabby is so damn funny!
Bellona is Back !!!
I'm definitely not appealed by this arc, but I have faith in Tom Taylor and I won't stop reading the series. And I love Gabby as a character!
