That's right, Nightcrawler gets knocked out and when he comes to the mutants are still partying and he gives in to the celebration. We see the book coming to a close on Aaron's run on it with both Logan and Kurt stumbling out of the bar to go home, far too drunk for their own good. While there are plenty of open story lines here I'm wondering which ones will be picked up and what the tone of the comic will be moving forward with Yost on as the lead writer. Read Full Review

This is a great little done in one X-men story that explores the theme of family; the one you choose v.s the one you're born into. At it's best the X-men were always a family of misfits and this issue goes a long way to remind readers why. Read Full Review

A near-perfect way for Aaron to leave the X-Franchise, a great issue that concludes some storylines while setting up others. I'm sad to see him go but this was a fantastic exit for him, and I'm excited for what's to come for this book. From what I can tell, Amazing X-Men , after bringing Nightcrawler back to life, isn't done with him and his family. Using an issue to celebrate his return pays homage to character who hasn't been there from the start, but close enough. I hope now we can look to the future and see how far Mystique and Azazel can get before the X-Men can put a stop to their plans. Read Full Review

Amazing X-Men #6 serves as a generally effective way of welcoming Nightcrawler back into the fold and celebrating his many relationships. It's not a wholly satisfying as a cap to Aaron's X-Men saga, but it's not exactly fair to judge it as such. And that last page is pretty great. Read Full Review

It's a shame that Aaron is gone so soon on this title. With Nightcrawler back and Firestar on the team, whatever plans he had for them -- and other characters -- will eventually only appear in interviews, if even that. This is a slightly lackluster way to wrap things up for Aaron. When Craig Kyle and Chris Yost take over with "Amazing X-Men" #8, here's hoping they'll handle some of the elements that were left behind. Read Full Review

The tough thing about Amazing X-Men #6 is that it's not a bad book, nor are the creators bad at all. The tough thing about Amazing X-Men is knowing that this team is capable of so much more. Given his schedule, with Original Sin down the pipeline and Thor: God of Thunder gaining a ton of traction, it's perhaps not surprising that something would have to give - and it's not like the previous five issues of Amazing X-Men haven't been, well, outstanding. But as far as last hurrahs go, this is one party where Jason Aaron might have stayed just a little bit too long. Read Full Review

I was happy to see a gathering celebrating Kurt's life. That was good to see. Too bad the art was so disappointing that it wasn't fun to look at. I was also disappointed to see we are still dealing with Kurt's dad and Bamfs. I want a new idea to see what I think of this series. I hear it's getting a new creative team, so maybe then.

Best part was definitely the action at the end. Just could not get over the awful art, especially after the amazing art of the previous issues. Wolverine's face was particularly a major mess.
