COLD WAR - PART TWO!
White Wolf has used the power granted him by Bucky Barnes to take control of Dimension Z and unleash its creatures onto the Captains America. Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers are prepared to fight their way through the onslaught, but the Outer Circle has more stakes in this fight than our heroes realize. Can Sam Wilson and Steve Rogers agree on their priorities before they fall to this new threat? And what exactly does Bucky Barnes intend to do to Ian Rogers?

There are a lot of moving parts to keep track of, but ultimately it succeeds in showing the different story arcs at play. Read Full Review
The Cold War continues as ‘Captain America: Symbol Of Truth' #12 puts the shield-slinging heroes and their allies to the test against the gathering forces of the White Wolf and the machinations of Bucky Barnes. A gorgeous slick action-packed issue that moves at a rapid and enjoyable pace bodes very well for the rest of this mini-event between the sibling Captain America titles. Read Full Review
Silva delivers some great visuals in the issue and the art manages to be both exciting and emotional at moments. Read Full Review
Captain America: Symbol of Truth #12 picks up the Cold War crossover event from where part 1 left off, and once again Tochi Onvebuchi and R.B. Silva hit a home run with a book that perfectly balances the emotion and action this event needs. Read Full Review
The interdimensional stuff kept me a bit removed from the overall story, but the character writing and the artwork keep this crossover strong. Read Full Review
Captain America: Symbol of Truth #12 continues the Cold War event with fighting in the snow and heroes reacting to enemies, but without a clear plot, direction, or goal, this event is going nowhere fast. Read Full Review
just okay
R. B. Silva's art continues to be the best thing about this series.
Absolutely GORGEOUS.
The plot is a bit... ho hum.
This was better than the kick-off issue, but I"m still not completely sold on this event. I really hope part three not only justifies this event, but makes it more engaging as a whole.

The dialogue sounds pretty cool, and the art is--panel by panel--gorgeous.
But like previous issues, this one has a problem with logical story flow, and it gets worse over time. The lines go from "this makes sense if I think about it" to "this makes sense if I squint at it" to "this doesn't make sense."
The script is also relying on the art to carry most of the storytelling in the action scenes. Pretty as they are, the visuals aren't up to this challenge, making the fights confusing and unengaging.
This feels disjointed as an event and I'm not really invested here. R.B. Silva on art is always a treat and he is not the problem here so the event's writing is flat so far.
