I really liked this comic, and this run. Shame it's ending with this issue.
I think Gronbekk really captured Cletus Cassidy's voice, and did a great job showing his motivation. Perez was good to really good, in places, on art.There were some innovative, if grizzly visuals. I liked Flash Thompson / Anti-Venom as a foil for Cassidsy.
I feel like this run could have been better if it wasn't messed up in the second half by a crossover with Venom that had very little to do with what had been happening in the story. I felt like the comic was co-opted to bolster Ewing's timey-whimey nonsense. More's the pity.
I liked this run and I'm sad to see it ending so soon, especially since its second half felt so rushed. But hopefully, the miniseries coming up manages to be a fun read as well.
Rushed but not that bad of an ending. But it is still messy conclusion.
